Established in May 2005, Mackenzie Stuart was founded to deliver bespoke, sector-specific services & expertise and in doing so, establish a new standard within Executive Search. We have an impressive pedigree, with our Directors’ having over a combined 50 years experience within the industry. They have used this knowledge to position Mackenzie Stuart in a unique way, meaning the business is able to make over 90% of its placements internationally, meaning we are a true Global Executive Search firm.

    February

    The financial year end sees MS turnover grow to £5m, and group turnover touch £10m across five separate businesses. A first international office opens in Toronto, Canada.

    Mackenzie Stuart sets up and funds a further executive search firm for two of its top performing managers. The London office moves to a new facility within ‘1 Cornhill’ having doubled in size within 12 months. Group headcount passes the 100 mark.

    Year 10 finishes with turnover up by 45% to £4.5m & profit increased by 40%. Across the group turnover reaches £6.5m with a headcount of over 70. Plans are put in place for further growth including the creation & funding of a further group recruitment business in 2015.

    A major day in the history of Mackenzie Stuart as the new London office opens at the prestigious ‘1 Cornhill’ building opposite the Bank of England. A team of six moves down from Leeds, with plans to double this within 12 months

    The year ends with another strong performance. Revenue increases to almost £3.5m with an increase in profits & a margin of 20%. Overall group head count exceeds 50. Mackenzie Stuart expands it’s presence in the Water, Food Ingredients, Chemicals and Logistics markets

    The year ends on a high, with turnover up by 20% to over £3m, & profit more than doubled on 2012. Headcount grew by around 50% during the year, with plans to grow this by another 50% by 2014, to take the company to in excess of 55 strong. Firm plans are put in place to open a London office in 2014

    The year ends with a major financial investment after an office move to a new 6,500 sq ft facility in the centre of Leeds, quadrupling space for further expansion.

    Year 2011-12 sees a doubling in revenue to £2.5m & huge success within brand new markets. Major growth plans are put in place for the Insurance, Medical & Scientific & Oil & Gas divisions in particular.
