Role: Senior Project Manager
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 (flexible upon experience)

The Client:
Mackenzie Stuart is working closely with a Top 50 ENR ranked Heavy Civil contractor firm specialising in transportation and infrastructure projects who are currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager. This is to have oversight over a selection of new heavy civil highway and bridge projects that have been recently secured.

The Role:
*Candidates will have a minimum of 10years experience at project management level within the US construction market.
*A strong working knowledge of the Texas transportation construction market having previously worked on Design Build/PPP projects with emphasis on highways, bridges and roadway projects.
*Previous close work with local DOTs and Transport Agencies as clients.
*Previous project management responsibility on a section of work in the region are typically $100M – +$1Billion (total construction value) with the firm.
*Full P&L accountability of projects executed reporting into the Regional GM and Project Director.
*Accountable for coordinating all scheduling, subcontractor duties, suppliers and site superintendents with regards the project.
*A strong leader with experience managing staff from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures.

Key Requirements:
*An Engineering Degree to a minimum of a Bachelors standard.
*The role holder must be willing to travel across Texas.
*Executed Design-Build/P3 projects on the contractor side in excess of $25Million with experience in transportation markets.
*The incumbent will be responsible for identifying all staffing requirements within the project, and to ensure that recruits are of sufficient quality to meet high company standards.
*A well rounded engineering and operations background is necessary with existing relationships with the major DOT and Transport Authority clients in the region would be beneficial.
* This position will require close working relationships across the disciplines to ensure a profitable, safe and high quality project that fully adheres to client expectations.

THE CLIENT
Mackenzie Stuart is presently working closely with a leading Canadian contractor who a performing some of the major Design-Build & PPP infrastructure and transportation projects across the country. The business requires the services of a Commercial Director to oversee the commercial management of multiple +$500M Design & Build projects.

THE ROLE
*The Commercial Director will be responsible for leading the commercial management on major infrastructure and transportation projects across Western Canada.
*Assigned to the major infrastructure and transport projects, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of +$1Billion Design & Build/PPP projects.
*Liaise with project controls function on projects such as finance, supply chain, risk, claims management, cost management and ensure an all-round commercial service is maintained to client satisfaction and company standard.
*Develop and operate strategies to maximise project revenues and cash flow in line with business polices.
*Ensure timely submission of all contractual notices and supporting data including robust payment applications.

THE REQUIREMENTS
*Degree educated in Law or Accountancy or Commercial Management.
*10years minimum experience in a lead commercial function on major construction projects.
*5years minimum experience on major P3/PFI or Design & Build transportation and infrastructure.
*Excellent leadership and communication skills leading teams and reporting into executive management.

The Role:
*Overall project oversight of a $60-70 Million Rail and Transit program.
*Program includes Master Planning, Design and Engineering projects for a major $Multi-Billion Rail and Bus network.
*Project lead acting as the subject matter expert to the client for planning, design, risk, cost, and scheduling.
*Close collaboration with the client, contractors, subcontractors and PM/CM team.
*Identify and recruit additional staffing needs.
*Report directly into the SVP North American Rail and Transit and Program Director.

Key Requirements:
*A Civil Engineering, Architecture, Planning Degree.
*Registered Professional Engineer (PEng).
*15 years’ experience in planning, design and program management in the rail and transit industry.
*Strong existing relationships with State DOTs and Transit Authorities across the Eastern States and familiar with FTA policies.
*Knowledge and experience having worked on regional and national rail and transit projects.

The Role:
*As the face of the organisation, the incumbent will lead on bidding and project delivery on +$1 BillionCAD Design & Build/PPP rail and transit infrastructure projects across Canada.
*Lead client interaction both with Engineers, Consultants and Government Authorities.
*Full P&L project responsibility leading a highly motivated team to deliver major complex transportation projects on time and on budget.
*Liaise with the Practice Manager and Team Leaders to ensure we have sufficient resources with the right skills to deliver our current and future market strategies.
*Coordinate material purchases, assure that subcontractor agreements are prepared and change orders are accurate and issued to owners, subcontractors and suppliers.
*Sit as member of the board for the particular project(s).
*Market teams to establish resource demand based on pipeline of opportunities.
*Full responsibility for staffing of the project.
*Responsible to the Executive Vice President and Regional President

The Requirements:
*Minimum Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent.
*10 years minimum extensive experience within the transport infrastructure industry with a broad understanding transit or metro/LRT projects having been involved in a senior leadership position previously.
*Demonstrable leadership and a proven track record of successful delivery on +$500 Million Design Build, Bid Build or PPP project.
*The incumbent will be responsible for identifying all staffing requirements within the project, and to ensure that recruits are of sufficient quality to meet high company standards.
*Experienced people manager with good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
*Good communication skills to interface with clients and internal stakeholders.
*Strong leadership skills having previously worked with multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
*A well rounded engineering and operations background is necessary with existing relationships with the government authorities and transport agencies in the region would be beneficial.
*Experience in understanding customer requirements and developing winning pursuits.
