The Business:
*Mackenzie Stuart are working in cohesion with a leading Plastics producer operating across North America.
*The company are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Director for one of their largest facilities based in San Francisco, California.

The Role:
*The successful candidate will be responsible for one of the largest plastics manufacturers in North America.
*Continuously work on improving and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures.
* A key responsibility of the role is to manage operational costs within the business focusing on productivity, and maintenance to ensure maximum efficiency when introducing a new product to the market.
*Managing a large team proving strong leadership to employees, setting the right example with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and environmental compliance.
*Creating supply plans, monitoring sales forecasts to identify any effect on the supply chain, implementing waste reducing strategies, and developing supply chain management procedures.
*Develop, implement, and then manage a strong operational and capital budget on an annual basis.
*Establishing and managing key plant KPI’s including, productivity, lost time incidents, production quality, and man-hour metrics.
*Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain plan in order to drive optimal customer service and profitability

Requirements:
*Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a large company in the construction industry.
*Proven leadership skills leading a plant of over 100 people.
*Experience trouble-shooting and resolving equipment and product quality concerns.
*Personnel management experience, e.g., hiring, performance reviews, discipline and legal compliance requirements.
*An ideal candidate will come from an Engineering background and not afraid to get their hands dirty.

The Client:
Mackenzie Stuart is working closely with a Top 10 Infrastructure Contractor who operate globally with a heavy focus on the Canadian market, as they seek to bring on board an experienced Project Director to oversee a portfolio of major rail, transit and highways projects. The firm is highly regarded as one of the market leaders within the industry with an excellent reputation for employee satisfaction.

The Role:
*As the face of the organisation, the incumbent will lead on bidding and project delivery on +$500 MillionCAD Design & Build/PPP rail, transit and highways infrastructure projects across Canada.
*Lead client interaction both with Engineers, Consultants and Government Authorities.
*Full P&L project responsibility leading a highly motivated team to deliver major complex transportation projects on time and on budget.
*Liaise with the Practice Manager and Team Leaders to ensure we have sufficient resources with the right skills to deliver our current and future market strategies.
*Coordinate material purchases, assure that subcontractor agreements are prepared and change orders are accurate and issued to owners, subcontractors and suppliers.
*Sit as member of the board for the particular project(s).
*Market teams to establish resource demand based on pipeline of opportunities.
*Full responsibility for staffing of the project.
*Responsible to the Executive Vice President and Regional President

The Requirements:
*Minimum Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent.
*15 years minimum extensive experience within the transport infrastructure industry with a broad understanding transit or metro/LRT projects having been involved in a senior leadership position previously.
*Demonstrable leadership and a proven track record of successful delivery on +$500 Million Design Build, Bid Build or PPP project.
*The incumbent will be responsible for identifying all staffing requirements within the project, and to ensure that recruits are of sufficient quality to meet high company standards.
*Experienced people manager with good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
*Good communication skills to interface with clients and internal stakeholders.
*Strong leadership skills having previously worked with multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
*A well rounded engineering and operations background is necessary with existing relationships with the government authorities and transport agencies in the region would be beneficial.
*Experience in understanding customer requirements and developing winning pursuits.

THE ROLE

– Recruit and lead a sales team across an area closing around 400 homes per annum looking to grow a division from an initial 200 units to 400 and within 3 years attain 600 closings.
– This role will form a key part of the senior management team and have a strong influence in guiding the wider strategic direction of the region, working closely with the Division President.
– Cover at least 12 communities which will grow to over 15 within the first 12 months.

REQUIREMENTS

– Previous experience leading the Sales function within a reputable home builder ideally with a volume background.
