THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart are presently recruiting on behalf of a Top 10 national home builder. As market conditions continue to strengthen they are now looking to bolster their Phoenix division with the addition of an experienced Vice President of Land Acquisition.

THE ROLE

* Responsible for all aspects of the Land Acquisition process for a Division currently closing in excess of 500+ new homes each year
* Managing a team of internal Land Managers to identify, negotiate, and secure land opportunities
* Part of the Division’s senior management team tasked with developing and implementing strategy to achieve substantial growth.

REQUIREMENTS

– A current or previous Vice President of Land Acquisition or similar
– A strong track record of securing residential land across Arizona.
– Exceptional leadership and man management capabilities
-At least 10 years new home building experience preferably with a volume builder.

The Client:
Mackenzie Stuart is presently working retained with a Top 10 AEC firm specialising in transportation and infrastructure services who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager for their Rail and Transit Track Engineering business unit to operate in Washington DC.

The Role:
*Support large scale track design projects across Washington DC Metro area and Northern Virginia.
*Specifically the role would be focusing on railroad/transit planning, conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of rail transit and railroad alignment for transit systems.
*Project lead responsible for planning, organizing and managing work load of a multidisciplinary design team alongside managing of assembly plans, specifications and construction cost estimates.
*Program will include complex track design including special track work, maintenance yards, embedded and direct fixation track understanding track design relationship with systems engineering.
*Close collaboration with the client, contractors, subcontractors and PM/CM team.
*Identify and recruit additional staffing needs.
*Report directly into the North American Rail and Transit Leader and Program Director.

Key Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field (civil, structural, mechanical or electrical.
*Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in VA, DC or MD.
*+10 years of experience in railroad engineering for light rail, heavy rail, or streetcar transit projects.
*Ability to function in a project management capacity on medium to large scale transit/rail related projects, conversant in track alignment and design related work.
*Capable of managing multi-disciplined teams both onsite and remotely, manage client deliverable and expectations.
*Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
*Candidate shall have strong written and verbal and communications skills.

The Client:
Mackenzie Stuart is presently working closely with a leading construction firm who are performing some of the major Design-Build & PPP infrastructure and transportation projects across Canada. The business requires the services of a Project Controls Director to oversee the project controls function across multiple +$500M Design & Build infrastructure projects.

The Role:
*The Project Controls Director will be responsible for leading the cost management, project controls and change management on major infrastructure and transportation projects across Canada.
*Assigned to the major infrastructure and transport projects, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of +$1Billion Design & Build/PPP projects.
*Liaise with BU heads to develop project control functions across multiple sectors.
*Develop project controls, policies and processes to ensure full contract compliance.
*Ensure timely submission of all contractual notices and supporting data including robust payment applications.
*Assist in bid stage and leadership of project execution from a project controls stand point.

The Requirements:
*Degree educated in Law, Quantity Surveying or Engineering.
*10years’ minimum experience in a project controls capacity.
*Major infrastructure project experience +$500Million ideally in a PPP or JV capacity. Design Build or Bid Build project knowledge would be advantageous.
*Excellent leadership and communication skills leading teams and reporting into executive management.
*Fluent in English

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart are currently working with a top 5 home builder operating across the entirety of the U.S and are now looking to kick-start sales within a new developing market therefore have need for an experienced sales professional to head the sales department.

THE ROLE

– Recruit and lead a sales team across an area closing around 400 homes per annum looking to grow a division from an initial 200 units to 400 and within 3 years attain 600 closings.
– This role will form a key part of the senior management team and have a strong influence in guiding the wider strategic direction of the region, working closely with the Division President.
– Cover at least 12 communities which will grow to over 15 within the first 12 months.

REQUIREMENTS

– Previous experience leading the Sales function within a reputable home builder ideally with a volume background.
– A track record of meeting targets while maximizing conversions and profitability.
– Proven ability to build and develop high-performing Sales teams.
-Must be able to evaluate talent whilst providing excellent leadership and training.
-At least 4-6 years industry experience, ideally with experience at Manager or Director Level.
