Mackenzie Stuart Executive Search & Selection is working in close partnership with a leading top-tier Power Generation & Engines equipment manufacturing company. The organisation is one of the major equipment manufacturers in the world with a renowned global presence.

Due to succession planning, the organisation is seeking to recruit a US Sales Manager – Engines – based in Houston (alternative locations in the USA may be considered) to lead the introduction of new products into the US market. This is a key position within the global sales team and candidates must meet the requirements to be considered for the position.

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

*A US citizen eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
*Located in Houston. Other alternatives across the US may be considered
*Educated to degree level in an Engineering field
*10+ years’ experience within the Gas Engines, Diesel Engines or Combustion Engines sector
*8+ years sales experience across multiple industries including Oil & Gas and General Industry
*Proven sales network with key customers and experience working through distribution and channel partners
*Motivated and proactive self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

*Manage the development and introduction of new products into the organisations US business unit for the Gas & Diesel Engines product line
*Lead marketing and sales activities for the US business unit for the Engines product line
*Create targeted commercial and business strategy plans to deliver short-term and long-term growth
*Lead tender and commercial activities with support from junior support teams
*Work proactively with the Business Unit General Manager to effectively grow the US market
*Work with engineering and technology teams internationally to ensure products are aligned to US market requirements
*Reporting into Business Unit General Manager.

THE COMPANY
Mackenzie Stuart is currently working for an international utility, engineering, design and construction contractor based in the US. They are an industry-leading utility contractor offering Pipeline Construction, Transmission, Substation and Distribution Construction, , Heavy Civil Work, Road Building. The company is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to help build their Transmission division.

THE ROLE
Primary responsibilities for the oversight of all field operations on all assigned projects in the region.
Supervisor of transmission projects up to 500kV
Ensure subcontractor accountability and progress
Day-today Construction management, contract administration, field operations, field problem resolution, coordination/ conducting meetings with contractors, clients, and staff.
Ensure all construction activities are completed in accordance with the appropriate requirements and specifications.
Change Management.
Providing expert advice to clients.

THE PERSON
At least 10+ years of experience working in the Power Industry
Ideally have experience working on large scale $50m + Transmission projects.
Must hold a PEng qualification.
Background must include experience in general contracting and/or engineering and construction management. Specifically, the applicant must possess knowledge and experience in managing complex construction projects.
A strong knowledge and experience of safe work practices is required.
Successful candidates will have strong teamwork, organization, problem solving, and communication skills.

The Role:
*Responsible for a multidisciplinary team and the delivery of a variety of Power Transmission projects across the region.
*Report to key parts of the business.
*Liaison with the client to make sure all key deliverables are outlined and executed to the highest quality.
*Ensuring all activities, health and safety and each phase of the projects are managed to the highest standard.
*Working alongside the commercial team, you will develop financial controls, detailing profit and loss and detailed cost, completing reports for each project.
*
Key Experience:
*Qualified to a minimum of degree level in a related process and or engineering qualification.
*Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building transmission lines, ideally with experience working lines up to 500KV.
*Site management/operations experience, along with knowledge of accreditation processes.
*Exceptional leadership skills and understanding of back office practice are required.
