Account Manager – Industrial & Refinery Wastewater

Mackenzie Stuart is collaborating with a Global Water Chemical manufacturer to identify an Account Manager for their Industrial & Refinery Wastewater Business Unit in the Netherlands.

Candidates MUST HAVE experience selling to/managing commercial relationships with refineries.

Overview of the role:

  • Elevate market presence and boost the sales performance of chemicals and related water treatment services within targeted geographic and industry-centric sectors, with a primary emphasis on Rotterdam/Zeeland Area
  • Oversee the marketing of wastewater treatment solutions to industrial clientele
  • Demonstrate knowledge of boilers, cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems
  • Formulate and execute the organization’s sales strategy tailored for industrial markets, ensuring seamless alignment with our broader business goals and objectives
  • Proactively establish connections with key decision-makers in management, operations, and procurement to drive and shape sales outcomes
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement within the sales division

Job Description:

  • Set ambitious sales targets for the team based on territory initiatives and actively work towards achieving them
  • Drive team performance whilst leading training and development initiatives for District Representatives
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to secure new opportunities within the current customer base
  • Ensure that sales quotes and proposals align with clients’ demands and budgets
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales team in the designated area, emphasizing service and innovation to existing accounts
  • Cultivate connections with decision-makers in both existing and potential customer organizations
  • Conduct in-depth system analysis, interpreting data, and delivering written recommendations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of practical experience in technical water treatment sales, key account management and business development
  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems for refineries
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
  • Proven track record of successfully managing territories generating over $XM in revenue
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated hunter mindset with an unwavering drive to capitalize on opportunities
