Job Summary:
The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the operational activities within the building materials industry. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive operational excellence, enhance productivity, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align operational goals with the company’s overall objectives.
- Process Optimization:
- Evaluate and refine operational processes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure a high level of performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the operations department.
- Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee the supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and distribution of finished products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed industry standards.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any issues related to product quality.
- Cost Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for the operations department, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive cost-effective decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and other relevant requirements.
- Stay abreast of changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in operations management within the building materials industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and quality control.
