Operations Director – Multi Site

Your primary focus will be to devise and execute operational strategies aimed at enhancing and optimizing safety, quality, production, engagement, and efficiency. We seek a resilient leader with strategic acumen and operational proficiency to ensure that our plants align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage multiple plant facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate production schedules, allocate resources, and enhance processes.
  • Establish clear performance goals and objectives for each plant.
  • Monitor, analyze, and take action based on key performance metrics related to safety, quality, productivity, engagement, and cost. Develop and oversee budgets while monitoring expenses and financial performance.
  • Assemble and lead high-performing plant management teams.
  • Identify opportunities for operational enhancement and cost reduction. Implement Lean and Six Sigma improvement methodologies.
  • Spearhead initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and elevate overall plant performance.
  • Ensure that all plant operations adhere to safety, environmental, and company policies.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience, typically exceeding 10 years, in plant management, operations leadership, or a related role within the packaging industry.
  • Profound understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and production planning.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and deliver tangible results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and manage budgets effectively.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance.

Must be located in Germany or Italy and open to European business travel
