Mackenzie Stuart is currently looking for a Plant Manager for a site on the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts. This role will be working with a leading organization within the Building Materials industry, with great opportunities for progression.
Responsibilities of the role include, but may not be limited to:
- Safety – ensuring safe practices & processes within the plant. Taking all necessary safety reporting steps & further developing a culture of safety within the plant.
- Operations – ensure production requirements are met in terms of volume & quality, ensure on-time delivery & some coordination of field activities. Also will assist in transportation & receiving goods at the plant
- Oversight of circa 40 people within the plant
- Maintenance & Continuous Improvement – conduct preventative maintenance, understand machinery lifecycles, develop strategies to improve plant performance
- Team development – hiring, firing & training responsibility, all to be conducted in accordance with relevant labor laws & internal directives
- Ensure adherence to environmental & Department of Transportation requirements
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years operations/production management experience within the concrete market
- Demonstrated history of strong organizational capabilities
- Personable & approachable management style
- History of achievement & a results-driven outlook
- Good market understanding of concrete
