Supply Chain Manager – Caps & Closures

We are seeking a candidate for a position focused on formulating a comprehensive strategy for managing the Beverage supply chain. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing processes that ensure the smooth and effective flow of raw materials, work-in-progress inventory, and finished goods from their origin to the final destination of consumption.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive strategies across all facets of the Beverage supply chain to minimize expenses, mitigate risks, enhance quality, reduce lead times, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Actively streamline the company’s supply-side operations to maximize customer value and gain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate on the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring a harmonized plan that aligns demand and supply, leading to increased revenue, cost reduction, and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Foster collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to enhance Product Lifecycle Management, initiating timely and budget-friendly sourcing initiatives that maintain product availability.
  • Challenge current suppliers and seek out prospective partners to propel the company’s growth. Negotiate supply agreements with vendors worldwide.
  • Implement industry-leading practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk management, inventory control, and vendor oversight.
  • Utilize data monitoring and analytics to assess historical performance, identify trends, and forecast inventory and distribution requirements.
  • Exercise control over costs and minimize supply shortages through effective management.
  • Develop key performance metrics to evaluate supply chain efficacy and provide regular reports on performance, leveraging metrics such as On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery.
  • Display exceptional leadership to inspire and guide the Supply Chain teams.
  • Establish organizational structure, recruit and train staff, develop personnel, provide clear directives, integrate and leverage global capabilities, and hold team members accountable.

Requirements

  • Business or engineering education
  • 8-10 years’ experience in the operations, continuous improvement or supply chain
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
