Mackenzie Stuart plc is currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Finance who reports into the CFO of a leading regional upstream Oil & Gas company. The company are looking to appoint a corporate finance executive to manage the implementation of the group’s finance function; supporting investment strategy, commercial issues relating to ongoing projects as well as directly supporting the Group CFO and the Chairman’s office.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage implementation of financial strategies that align with the company’s objectives and growth plans.
    • Reviewing the use of company’s asses from a capital perspective.
    • Managing the purchase or sale of assets.
  • Work with Finance Manager to identify and act on options to raise finance for the group.
  • Manage and grow banking relationships.
  • Support Chairman’s office and senior management on analysis of major investment projects.
  • Prepare highly effective investment presentations, accurately representing key findings and communicating it to senior management for input into decision making.
  • Maintain and expand excellent relationships with global external advisory firms.

 

Role Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Maths or Engineering from a top tier university.
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification from leading Business School.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of finance experience.
    • Investment Banking/Consulting background preferred.
    • Commercial experience at an Oil Major desirable
  • International energy market experience with strong analytic and presentation skills.
  • Superior analytical, quantitative and financial modelling skills.

Mackenzie Stuart is working with a world renowned company operating within the Manufacturing and Engineering industries. They are looking to employ the services of an experienced audit professional to join a well established audit function based in Modena, Italy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly into the Head of Internal Audit, the successful candidate will conduct a range of audits including operational, financial and compliance based engagements. However their focus will be more on operational audits;
  • Their main responsibility will be for managing and collating all production audits on a global basis;
  • Collate audit findings into audit reports and provide these to the Head of Internal Audit on a regular basis;
  • Create a suggested plan of action, addressing where changes could be made to remediate any areas of potential issues;
  • Be responsible for overseeing SOX/Law 262 and Law 231 based projects where required;
  • Travel: Between 15-20%, typically 1 week long projects.

 

Required Experience:

  • 8-12 years audit experience, either in industry or a mix between accounting and industry experience
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably within industrial/technical manufacturing companies
  • Fluency in Italian and English

 

Desired Experience:

  • Masters Degree graduate, preferably within accounting, finance, engineering or a related field
  • Additional language skills
  • Exposure to SOX/Law 262 and/or Law 231

Mackenzie Stuart is working with a multibillion revenue organisation, operating within pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. They are looking to employ the services of a Senior Internal Auditor to join their finance team based in Montpellier.

 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Conduct a wide range of audits including: Operational, Financial, Fraud and Compliance based audits across the company and all of its subsidiaries
  • Create audit reports and provide these to the management team. Highlighting any important findings and providing suggestions for remediation where possible
  • Maintain and develop the current risk and internal control matrix. Making amendments to its design if required
  • Support the numerous internal control cycles: including Payroll, Inventory, Order Collection, Right to pay and many more
  • The travel required for this position will be less than 5%

 

Required Characteristics:

  • Around 3 years audit experience
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Familiarity with SOX testing

 

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Big 4 training or experience within the pharmaceutical/medical industry
  • Experience working to a COSO framework

Mackenzie Stuart is currently looking to recruit a Chief Financial Officer for a fast growing Food & Beverage organisation headquartered in the USA. The organisation operate globally and are looking to continue their rapid expansion with ambitious growth plans. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for growing the finance and accounting division, whilst assisting with the strategic growth of the organisation.

The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Leading the financial planning and analysis for the company and reporting to the Board and CEO.
  • Lead all internal and external reporting, ensuring accurate and timely fillings.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Maintain stakeholder and banking relationships.
  • Optimising the cash flow and leading audit processes.
  • Lead all M&A and investment processes to ensure the continued successful growth of the organisation.
  • Lead the development of the finance and accounting function, including hiring, training and restructuring as required.
  • Respond to investor relation and HR matters as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Finance – MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience.
  • Big 4 experience desirable.
  • Experience working within a leading public multinational.
  • Background within the Food & Beverage or Consumer Goods industry.
  • Previous experience working with C-Level and Board of Directors.
  • Able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure smooth running of all finance and accounting teams.
  • Previous experience within fast growing organisations desirable.

  • Supervise Tax compliance.
  • Support M&A activities.

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Master’s Degree in Economics/Tax/Law.
    • Additional qualifications/certification in Corporate Tax are desirable (CTA, ACA, etc).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in ‘Big 4’ Accountancy, Tax, Advisory (desirable).
  • 4+ years’ industry experience in international taxation roles.
  • Strong numerical skills; good knowledge of valuations and accounting.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for leading Financial, Operational, Compliance and Risk based audits on an international basis;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the annual audit and risk assessment plan;
  • Identify weaknesses in current practices and provide suggestions for remediation and improvement;
  • Be an integral part of senior management meetings within the internal audit function. This includes presenting and leading meetings where required;
  • Liaise with the international subsidiaries and ensure their practices are in line with group standards;
  • Ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements, this includes overseeing the SOX testing team;
  • Travel to various globally around 50% of the time, the maximum assignment length would be 2 weeks.

 

Required Criteria:

  • 10+ Years experience within the insurance industry
  • Experience within property & casualty insurance
  • ACA/ACCA/CPA and/or CIA (Other certifications will be seen favourably)
  • Degree educated in accounting or a similar discipline

  • Provide suggestions for remediation of issue to the Audit Manager and/or Senior Audit Manager;
  • Liaise with the IT audit/data analytics team to assist in providing ‘big data’ analysis. Learn from the team how to utilise new data analytics software;
  • Assess the effectiveness of previously implemented changes, through testing and analysis
  • Remain up to date regarding changes to new standards and adapt the audit plan where required

 

Necessary Requirements

 

  • Have 1-4 Years Audit Experience
  • Experience working within the Insurance Industry
  • CPA/CIA is preferred (part qualified is suitable)
