Mackenzie Stuart has partnered with a global food production company to recruit for the position of Divisional Controller to lead their North America controlling team. Reporting directly into the Group Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a lead role in helping the organisation grow their operations across North America.

The organisation is a European based Food Production company, with significant operations across Europe and North America. They are now looking to expand the Canadian office and are looking for a driven and energetic Controller who can lead their division in this hands-on position.

The role will be based in the Vancouver area.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Financial strategy for the department and formulating a framework in order to meet KPIs
  • Ensuring timely and accurate availability of financial plans, reports and budgets
  • Handling of local tax matters, in line with corporate tax guidelines, in order to comply with relevant local tax rules and legislation
  • Responsible for meeting corporate guidelines of the administrative processes
  • In charge of the development of the department in line with operating company’s organisational development strategies
  • Candidate will need to be a strong business partner with excellent communication skills in order to translate the figures to the management team

Candidate profile:

  • Degree educated in business, commerce, accounting or finance – MBA or MSc preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ in an accounting/finance leadership role
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Adaptable and flexible to a changing environment
  • Manufacturing/food industry experience would be preferable

Mackenzie Stuart is currently looking to recruit an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Director for a leader in the Automation industry. Our client have operations across world and have seen their products experience strong sales growth over the past five years. They are now looking to bring on board an accomplished FP&A Director who will work with the VP Finance and CFO.

 

The positon will be based in Chicago, IL and a relocation package can be offered should this be needed for candidates already based in the USA.

 

The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

 

  • The consolidation and submission of all budgeting and forecasting schedules and analysis.
  • Coordinating and managing the forecasting, planning and budgeting of the business on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Responsible for the monthly cash flow analysis on actual cash flows and forecast cash flows.
  • Prepare annual budget schedules and quarterly forecast schedules for overheads for all departments.
  • Managing the flow of financial information to key stakeholder and ensuring that the cash flow of the organisation at the required level.
  • Strategic development and analysis, including identifying investment and M&A opportunities.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Manage a team of 6 people directly.

 

The preferred candidate will be:

 

  • Educated to degree level and hold an MBA with a focus on finance/accountancy.
  • Qualified CPA or equivalent is desirable.
  • At least 10+ years’ experience working in the automation or manufacturing industry.
  • A US citizen or the ability to work in the US is essential.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and numeracy skills.
  • The ability to explain complex financial information and experience reporting into senior management.
  • The ability to work autonomously, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • A broad finance and accounting background would be beneficial for future progression within the company.

Our client are looking for someone with experience developing talent and building a leading finance function in order to support the growth strategies.

 

The position will be based in the Great Philadelphia area.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for all finance, accounting and controlling.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, statutory accounts and planning cycles.
  • Full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility.
  • Business partner to Senior Management, Commercial and Operations Directors to optimise the Group’s financial performance and strategic position.
  • Capital management inclusive of cash flow forecasting and management of funding requirements.
  • Leadership and development of the finance team, with solid succession planning and talent management.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, SOX and USGAAP.
  • Support ad hoc and audit reviews as required.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Educated to degree level with a focus in Accountancy, Finance, Business or Economics.
  • CPA, CMA or CGMA Qualified ideally – Big 4 training is preferred.
  • 15+ years’ experience within an industrial/production focused industry.
  • An excellent communicator, confident and self-motivated, with good interpersonal and strong influencing skills.
  • Strong management skills and experience developing finance teams.
  • Comfortable with travel requirements due to the international scope of the position.
  • Can demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.

Reporting directly into the USA CEO, the successful candidate will play a lead role in helping the organisation grow their operations across North America.

The organisation are a European based Luxury Consumer Goods company, with significant operations across Europe and Asia. They are now looking to expand US office and are looking for a driven and energetic Accounting Manager or Controller who can lead their division in this hands on position.

The role will be based in the Greater New York area.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all accounting, month end close and cash flow analysis for the US operations.
  • Responsible for analysis of P&L and improvements of KPIs as well as credit insurance limits.
  • To drive the development of the accounting team, including hiring’s.
  • Controller analysis.
  • Coordinate new projects as the company looks to expand its operations.
  • Supporting the CEO and CFO on accounting projects.
  • Cash management including chase collections and liaising with landlord for leased office and show room as well as optimising collections and payments.
  • Coordinate the approval of invoices belonging to other areas beyond accounting dept.
  • Business partnering to HR on legal issues, payroll etc.
  • Liaise with Landlords of stores and offices.

Candidate profile:

  • Degree educated in business, accounting or finance – MBA or MSc preferred.
  • CPA Qualified – highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience.
  • Ideally some degree of management responsibility from either current or previous roles.
  • Consumer goods, Retail or Luxury Goods industry experience desired.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP is welcome.
  • Hands on and driven, with a strong background in accounting and/or audit.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing environment.
  • Excellent skills in accounting and handling teams.
  • Able to chase collections from customers.
