Corporate FP&A Director, Flordia

Salary – $120,000 – $170,000 + Benefits

Mackenzie Stuart are currently working on behalf of one of the most reputable names within the Building Materials sector for a Corporate FP&A Director. The role will be based in Florida, with regular travelling within North America required. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to potentially move into a Divisional CFO role within 3 years.

Responsibilities of the Corporate FP&A Director will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Reporting directly to a Divisional CFO and Group Commercial Finance Director.
  • Managerial Responsibility – you will oversee and mentor members of the commerical finance team, providing support and guidance when necessary.
  • Active engagement on M&A projects, including identifying and assessing potential acquisition targets, evaluation of strategic fit, due-diligence review, structuring and negotiating transactions, and synergy assessment.
  • Analyse trends in the Building Materials industry and actions taken by key competitors.
  • Present findings to the Board of Director and Executive Finance Team.

 

The preferred candidate will have:

  • CPA / Chartered Accountancy Qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related subject – Masters preferred.
  • 5 Years in Senior Finance Role.
  • BIG 4 Training / Experience (Preferred).
  • Successful track record in leading M&A projects from identification to completion.
  • Experience managing more junior finance professionals.
  • ERP familiarity, ideally with SAP, Oracle and Hyperion.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office User – Excel and PowerPoint.

Finance Manager, Toronto – Canada

Salary – $80,000 -$120,000

Mackenzie Stuart is looking to recruit a Finance Manager for an industry leading company in the Building Materials sector . The role will be based in Toronto, Canada with regular international travel possible. The successful candidate will report the National Finance Director.

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Reporting directly to the National Finance Director.
  • Supporting the company in all aspects of finance related topics, including forecasting, budgeting, KPI analysis, Aquisition identification and CAPEX management.
  • Managerial Responsibility with at least 3 direct reports – you will be able to support and mentor members of your team, and improve the finance division as a whole.
  • Gauge performance of core business units through the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Report any variances to Executive Finance team.
  • Monthly and Quarterly review of income, expenditure, profit and cash flow.
  • Preparing of annual reports and accounts and liaising with external auditors as required for the annual audit.

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Chartered Accountancy Qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – Big 4 training would be preferable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or engineering.
  • 3 Years minimum experience in construction industry, 5 years would be preferable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills are essential.
  • Proven success in Managerial role.
  • ERP familiarity, ideally with SAP products
  • Comprehensive understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Products

  • Reporting directly to the CFO.

Mackenzie Stuart is working with large cap organisation operating within the pharmaceuticals and healthcare industries. They are looking to employ the services of a Senior Internal Auditor to be based in Singapore.

 

Position responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Internal Audit Director, the Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting financial and operational audits across all of the organisations business activities;
  • Assist the Audit Director with the implementation of the annual audit plan. Discussing resource planning, optimisation and strategy;
  • Produce assignment reports and provide these to the Internal Audit Director. Provide suggestions for remediation and improvement;
  • Implement the suggested remediation plan and monitor the effects on a regular basis. Assist the monitoring of changes utilising CAATs;
  • Travel to various destinations across the APAC region, between 50-60% of the time. Assignments will be 3-4 weeks long, followed by 3-4 weeks back in Singapore.

 

Required criteria:

  • 3-7 years audit experience
  • Fluency in English
  • International experience
  • Strong accounting background
  • Good communication skills
  • Singaporean citizen or valid work permit holder

 

Desired Criteria:

  • Exposure to data analytics tools. Qlikview experience would be useful
  • Big 4 training

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Reporting into the Internal Audit Manager, the Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for executing operational and financial audits, as well as being involved in ad-hoc projects where required
  • Create assignment reports, detailing all project findings and providing suggestions for remediation
  • Analyse the effects of previously implemented changes. Commenting on their value and highlighting any shortfalls
  • Highlight any significant findings to senior management immediately
  • Present the audit findings to the management team within audit, as well as to senior management in other areas where required
  • Oversee teams on a project by project basis, providing supervision to other IA personnel
  • Assist in the development of the annual audit plan and strategy. Analysing which areas require testing and how each test should be conducted
  • Act as a value added partner to the company. Maintaining a positive image of audit within the organisation
  • Travel to various destinations on a global basis, up to 20% of the time
