Job Profile:

  • Responsible for the timely realization of the projects in compliance with the costs and budget goals
  • Management of innovation projects
  • Create and monitor appointment, cost and capacity plans
  • Coordination with the customer, initiation of corrective actions in case of deviations
  • Leading interdisciplinary project teams
  • Contribution to the examination and supplement of the specifications / specifications
  • Control and monitor additional developments and changes
  • Planning the project budget
  • Realization of a uniform project cost planning as well as project cost monitoring
  • Regular reporting of project status in the control area, in front of customers and suppliers
  • Preparing the gateway / control circuit meetings, ensuring content
  • Identification and management of project risks
  • Escalation level for the customer (OEM, among others)
  • Participation in the data analysis for the quotation calculation according to economic, technical and ecological conditions)

Requirements:

  • University degree in electrical engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in project management at an electronics manufacturer or automotive manufacturer
  • Sound business know-how
  • Distinct entrepreneurial action
  • High level of assertiveness and personal responsibility)
  • Process-oriented thinking and acting)
  • Pronounced conflict and moderation skills
  • Enthusiasm and persuasion ability

The primary accountability of the National Account Manager position is to deliver sales growth and comprehensive account direction of assigned “key customers” for a multinational packaging company.

The position is accountable for direct sales, business development, new product deployments, customer relationship management at all levels, accounts receivables, inventory management, capacity management, pricing administration and interfacing all tactical issues with the account. The role also is responsible for creating and presenting to senior leadership an account strategic and annual business plan including forecast / budget volumes for closures, and capping equipment required to meet all customer expectations and business objectives.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Solicits orders and new business
  • Negotiates and executes contracts with terms that can be met by both parties
  • Primary liaison with external customer
  • Assure contract execution and maintenance
  • Ability to motivate and direct other customer support team members
  • Sets goals and strategies for resources working on account
  • Communicates customer requirements and strategies with recommendations
  • Provides strategic plan for new product or service development
  • Provides monthly closure forecasts to the S&OP team for product volume and mix
  • Manages customer product profitability and makes recommendations for product mix decisions
  • Solicits and obtains orders for closures, equipment and supporting services
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships between the organisation and customer operations leadership
  • Frequent travel is required as part of this position – travel will normally be approx. 50%, but can approach 75%+ in certain weeks.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ sales experiences in the packaging industry with either flexible or rigid packaging
  • Proven experience managing multiple large accounts
  • This position requires excellent business communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong negotiating skills, interpersonal management skills, data analytical skills, computer skills and a solid business acumen are also keys to success.
  • Advanced level PowerPoint, Excel, Word skills are required.
  • Must have comprehension of accounting and finance principles that drive customer and business profitability.
  • This position also requires an appreciation for technical complexities, and a willingness to learn the technical nuances of the closures and capping equipment businesses.

We are currently recruiting for a Product Manager for Composites. The candidate would ideally be located in Illinois, but remote locate is possible for the right candidate. The role will be reporting directly to the Commercial Director.

 

The responsibilities of the role are:

 

Major Processes

  • Manage which products are available for active sales, which products are to be replaced and or upgraded and what new products or product categories are needed
  • Identify which of the multiple projects in new product development are most critical to bring to the market in terms of improving market share and profitability
  • Direct decisions on where and how products are produced

Market strategy:

  • Direct product launches and reintroductions
  • Develop selling tools and training to support current and new product offerings
  • Position the product line as value line by emphasizing the solutions that these products bring to the customer or the end user

Pricing:

  • Establish pricing guidelines for new technology families
  • Track cost trends and the effects on the product line overall marginal income
  • Project Coordination between Manufacturing, R&D, Quality and Sales/Marketing
  • Shepherd projects from discovery of the initial need, through a gated decision process to final results. Drive each project through to “Go or No-Go” decision point
  • Retire projects if window of opportunity passes and communicate synergies in product development

Key Customers:

  • Communicate the needs of key accounts throughout the product development process and utilize the “Project Evaluation Assessment” to identify target accounts
  • Determine which customers will trial prototype new technologies

 

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • MS / BS degree in Chemistry or equivalent preferred
  • 5-10 years’ experience in product management required
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization skills
