Job description: Reporting to Sales Director:

  • Ensure brand is adhering to strategic business plans and targets & track competitor’s cliental globally within the aerospace coatings markets
  • This position will be responsible for developing and leading B2B sales & strategy, identifying and building relationships on an national level
  • Expand & develop existing business within the Aerospace Network
  • Maximise customer product portfolio to increase sales opportunities and profitability
  • Be responsible of all the technical aspects in manufacturing plant (e.g. demonstrating new products and technical processes and training)
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, cross-functional & multi functional colleagues, end-users and other influences in the market
  • Be responsible for the coordination of pricing actions, monitor competitor’s activities, and execute programs as defined in BU plans
  • This position is a key role in the organisation and offers a high level of visibility and responsibility
  • It is an individual contributor role that requires a highly resourceful, autonomous individual with strong business acumen, communication and interpersonal skills

You will be responsible for:

  • For identifying, developing and managing new/existing business opportunities
  • Develop a trusted advisory relationship with primary accounts, key stakeholders and critical decision makers
  • Communicate effectively with technical staff and senior management on the status of priority accounts and ongoing projects
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customers’ operations and determine technical needs
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivering of our solutions to the customer
  • Document and track the progress of all accounts, opportunities, lab projects, samples and account communication
  • Negotiate pricing agreements and contracts in accordance with internal guidelines
  • Respond quickly to customer requests and maintain a professional demeanour when handling all matters

The Advanced Ceramic Materials unit specialises in the development and production of ceramic powders with high-performance applications such as thermal barrier coatings, bio-ceramics and electro-ceramics.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage a team of ~20 R&D Engineers & Technicians
  • Lead R&D projects, from theory through to production
  • Define & implement new competitive product development roadmap
  • Administer €3M-€4M R&D budget whilst effectively managing costs
  • Management of patented technologies

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Southern Austria
  • Must hold a university degree, preferably in material science or inorganic chemistry
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the chemical industry, preferably in the field of advanced ceramic materials

The “North American Sales Manager” is responsible for managing existing client relationships, but a high level of importance is also going to be placed on developing new business opportunities.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing $XX Million in sales revenue, focusing on the sales targets of the organisation, organizing sales activities with short-medium-long terms targets and increasing this in line with said targets.
  • Maintaining and improving relationships with customers in the region.
  • Creation of pipeline, and mapping out potential new customers.
  • Conducting domestic (and occasional international) sales visits and presenting products to existing and prospective customers.

About The Person
