Mackenzie Stuart is working with a leading multidisciplinary construction firm that are seeking a Senior Project Manager for their commercial projects throughout Atlanta.

The Role:

  • Primarily tasked with managing the construction of commercial projects throughout Atlanta, Georgia USA.
  • Ensure the delivery of the projects within the given constraints of time and cost.
  • Lead a large project team, monitor performance, train and mentor personnel for maximum performance and future progression.
  • Monitor all project costs (reporting & forecasting) to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Responsible for contract documents, material & equipment budgets, negotiate rental rates and purchase orders.
  • Establish a sound project site logistics plan.
  • Lead the safety program, ensure the highest standards are upheld.
  • Develop, schedule and lead project close-out processes.
  • Regular liaison with Regional Management and other departments (estimating/precon, etc).

The Requirements:

We are looking to speak with candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in commercial construction.
  • Previously managed $40M+ commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of building processes and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart is working on behalf of one of the leading electric utility contractor in the US. This recognised company provide a broad range of services including electrical engineering and design for Transmission & Distribution facilities, maintenance and construction of electric and gas T&D facility. Due to continuous growth, the company are looking for an Area Manager to help the expanding operations in the North East of the United States.

THE ROLE

  • Reporting to a Director of Power Operations.
  • Responsible for all T&D projects including overhead and underground construction, procurement and design lines of work.
  • Perform marketing and sales activities.
  • Responsible for implementing company safety programs.
  • Develop business relationships with customers, unions, subcontractors, vendors,
  • Day-to-day direction for the operations of construction
  • Manages relations with IBEW Local Unions

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in construction within the power utility business.
  • Proven record of running large projects.
  • Ideally have a college degree with extensive field experience in the power industry.
  • Experience working with electric utilities is desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

The Role:
*Responsible for supporting preconstruction and business development staff on +$500m P3, Design-Build and JV Highway, Bridge, Rail and Tunnelling projects across Canada.
*Leading the review of project plans, requirements and specifications on complex bids/tender processes/project delivery.
*Prepare/review accurate quality take offs, breakdowns and material pricing.
*Prepare/review bid packages, drawings and specifications with the project management team.
*Coordinate with clients, JV Partners, engineers, subcontractors and vendors.
*Oversees and provides support to any number of projects from an operational, financial and resource standpoint.

Key Requirements:
*Degree educated in Construction Management or Engineering.
*7 years relevant construction experience as Snr Estimator/Snr Project Manager.
*5 years hands on experience as estimator on major infrastructure/civils projects.

THE ROLE

• Reporting to the Commercial Director the role will be an integral part of the regional commercial team
• Operating within a 400 unit, £90m region the Surveyor will be tasked with supporting the commercial function across all live developments with a particular focus on a new large development.
