The Role:

  • Responsible for supporting preconstruction and business development staff on Design-Build and Heavy/Civil, Infrastructure, Asphalt/Paving & Energy projects across America.
  • Leading the review of project plans, requirements and specifications on complex bids/tender processes/project delivery.
  • Prepare/review accurate quality take offs, breakdowns and material pricing.
  • Prepare/review bid packages, drawings and specifications with the project management team.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Oversees and provides support to any number of projects from an operational, financial and resource standpoint.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree educated in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Good mix of field and desk experience.
  • 5+ years relevant construction experience as Snr Estimator/Snr Project Manager.
  • 5+ years hands on experience as estimator on major infrastructure/civils projects.
  • Strong track record of previous work on +$20m transportation/heavy civil with large GC.

Mackenzie Stuart are proud to be working in partnership with a Multi-National Engineering & Construction business who offer their services across the world. This rapidly growing organisation have tasked us with searching for a number of roles, including Superintendents.

The organisation is seeking and experienced Superintendent with 5+ years of electrical and data centre construction experience.

The Superintendents work with all individuals involved with the projects and supervise all employees. They will be in charge of, among other things;

  • Oversee, manage, and mentor assistant superintendents.
  • Create construction schedules, perform regular updates, monitor logic relationships, and insert new activities and impacts.
  • Coordinate jobsite logistics and maintain relationships with neighbouring occupants.
  • Negotiate with authorities having jurisdiction to achieve project occupancy milestones.
  • Lead an injury-free environment safety program.
  • Coordinate subcontractor work scopes, scheduling, and resource-loading in conjunction with the firm’s self-perform work crews.
  • Foster the development of foreman to grow into future superintendents.
  • Professionally represent the firm’s field operations as primary interface with owner and design team.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry, specifically in the data center sectors
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Prolog or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
  • Good communication skills, being able to work with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues and effective participation in a team environment.

The organisation is seeking and experienced Superintendent with 8 – 12 years of commercial construction experience. Experience in one or multiple of the following is beneficial; life sciences; healthcare; higher education; corporate office and advanced technology.

The Superintendents work with all individuals involved with the projects and supervise all employees. They will be in charge of, among other things;

This individual will be a director on the board; responsible for spearheading projects across the UK. Other responsibilities include:
• Design of airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, vehicle service roads and pavement rehabilitation
• Preparation of engineering design reports, project definition documents, construction plans, and contract documents / technical specifications
• Significant design and construction oversight for multiple general aviation clients
• Collaborating and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians
• Coordination with FAA and local permit agencies

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Related Degree
• 8+ years’ experience
• Engineer in-Training (EIT) preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD /Civil 3D, MS Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point

Preferred Qualifications

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart is working on behalf of one of the leading electric utility contractor in the US. This recognised company provide a broad range of services including electrical engineering and design for Transmission & Distribution facilities, maintenance and construction of electric and gas T&D facility. Due to continuous growth, the company are looking for an Area Manager to help the expanding operations in the North East of the United States.

THE ROLE

  • Reporting to a Director of Power Operations.
  • Responsible for all T&D projects including overhead and underground construction, procurement and design lines of work.
  • Perform marketing and sales activities.
  • Responsible for implementing company safety programs.
  • Develop business relationships with customers, unions, subcontractors, vendors,
  • Day-to-day direction for the operations of construction
  • Manages relations with IBEW Local Unions

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in construction within the power utility business.
  • Proven record of running large projects.
  • Ideally have a college degree with extensive field experience in the power industry.
  • Experience working with electric utilities is desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
