This continually growing organisation have tasked us with searching for a number or roles including a Production Superintendent and Operations Manager for a large recycling plant.
The Role:
The individual in the role needs to provide leadership and synergized management of the processing activities within the plant. The incumbent supports the Plant Manager so that safe, productive, and cost effective operation of the plant is achieved and appropriate strategic decisions can be made consistent with the mandate of the facility and firm’s processing strategy to effectively and efficiently process recovered materials. While adhering to the Company’s Core Values and being vigilant of the objective to be 100% compliant with all regulatory requirements, achieves department’s business targets and objectives. The individual has responsibility for personnel, some of whom perform safety sensitive duties and responsibilities and regularly work outside of regular business hours.

This position operates within a COR certified plant environment (which is a requirement of our Contract) and is required to comply with all regulatory requirements and the Client’s Environmental Management System. The facility operates up to 17 hours per day, potentially 7 days per week.
Key Requirements:

  • Degree educated in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • 3 – 6+ years relevant related experience managing process operations/production within an industrial process plant environment is required.
  • Proven leadership skills combined with a minimum of 4 years of supervisory/ management experience.
  • Knowledge of environmental waste treatment industry as well as project management experience.

*Prepare/review bid packages, drawings and specifications with the project management team.

This rapidly growing organisation have tasked us with searching for an Airport Capacity/Planning Principal for their Aviation Sector. This role is responsible for performing a wide array of aviation-related civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports.

This individual will be responsible for spearheading various projects across the UK. Other responsibilities include:

  • Leading projects that require fast and detailed action pertaining to airport operations (such as repaving while minimally effecting the airport’s schedule and operation)
  • Design of airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, vehicle service roads, airfield lighting and signage installation, navigational aids, drainage improvements, utility relocation and protection, and pavement rehabilitation
  • Preparation of engineering design reports, project definition documents, construction plans, and contract documents / technical specifications
  • Collaborating and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians
  • Significant design and construction oversight for multiple general aviation clients
  • Coordination with clients and funding agencies
  • Coordination with FAA and local permit agencies

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have knowledge and experience of airport scheduling, operations and

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart is working on behalf of one of the leading electric utility contractor in the US. This recognised company provide a broad range of services including electrical engineering and design for Transmission & Distribution facilities, maintenance and construction of electric and gas T&D facility. Due to continuous growth, the company are looking for an Area Manager to help the expanding operations in the North East of the United States.

THE ROLE

  • Reporting to a Director of Power Operations.
  • Responsible for all T&D projects including overhead and underground construction, procurement and design lines of work.
  • Perform marketing and sales activities.
  • Responsible for implementing company safety programs.
  • Develop business relationships with customers, unions, subcontractors, vendors,
  • Day-to-day direction for the operations of construction
  • Manages relations with IBEW Local Unions

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in construction within the power utility business.
  • Proven record of running large projects.
  • Ideally have a college degree with extensive field experience in the power industry.
  • Experience working with electric utilities is desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
