Land Development Manager – Home Building
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
OTE: $160 – $180k

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart are presently recruiting on behalf of a Top 10 national home builder. As market conditions continue to strengthen they are now looking to bolster their Greenville division with the addition of an experienced land development professional.

THE ROLE

-Plans and directs land development business including planning, design and development.
-Develop policies for usage, sale of properties and the construction schedule.
-Review and sign plats and other documents pertaining to land development.
-Budget for the construction of the entrances, lots, amenities and associated infrastructure for communities; including road, drainage, water, sewer and landscaping.
-Responsible for developing departmental overhead budget and controlling the budget.
-Business operations for the land development department.
-Work with area municipalities and utility contractors.

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel.

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart are proud to be working in partnership with a leading national homebuilder as they look to strengthen their senior team with this vital appointment. Currently they deliver in excess of 800 new homes each year and are seeking a high calibre VP of Sales & Marketing to drive the next phase of their growth.

THE ROLE

• The successful candidate will be given the autonomy to shape the role and have a major impact on the success of the business unit.
• Leading an existing team of 15 sales staff over 25 active outlets you will design and implement creative and robust sales and marketing procedures and campaigns for all existing and new communities
• This role will form a key part of the senior management team and have a strong influence in guiding the wider strategic direction of the business

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience leading the Sales & Marketing function within a volume home builder
• A track record of exceeding targets while maximizing conversions and profitability
• Proven ability to build and develop a high-performing Sales teams
• Central Texas experience is a bonus but not required, with generous relocation assistance available

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart are proud to be working in partnership with this leading home builder, as they look to continue growth of their Dallas operations. The homebuilder is looking to add an Area Sales Manager to take closings in excess of 500 units per annum.

THE ROLE

– Will work closely with both the Director of Sales and other Area Sales Managers to close in excess of 500 units per annum across the Dallas Fort Worth area.
– Will be required to train and lead a significant team of sales professionals to work with varied product lines including town homes and single family homes.
– This role will form a key part of the senior sales management team and have a strong influence in guiding area of marketing efforts.

REQUIREMENTS

– Previous experience leading the Sales & Marketing function within a reputable home builder.
– A track record of meeting targets while maximizing conversions and profitability.

The organisation are looking to recruit an experienced Safety Manager to have corporate safety oversight on a major JV project in North East USA.

 
The Role:

*Responsible for overall supervision of project construction safety, accident and fire protection on a +$400M Joint Venture infrastructure project in Connecticut.

*Deliver outstanding performance by maintaining a safe environment for project site operations.

*Plan, organize and staff key field positions through regional dept. heads.

*Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.

Document all accidents, safety violations and unsafe activities.

*Develop and coordinate Management Training/First Aid Training/OSHA training/Drug & Alcohol testing to all site employees.

*Daily safety audits and inspections.

*Collect and prepare monthly man-hour, accident information, citation experience and quarterly loss run information for staff.

*Inspect power tools and heavy equipment.

*Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP).

Key Requirements:

*Minimum 7years’ direct construction or safety experience required on rail, civil, transit projects.

*OSHA 10/30/50 Construction certification.

*CSM & CHST certification.

*First Aid/CPR certified.

*Expert in construction safety standards.

*Experience in Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).

The Role:

*Lead a safety department of 9 employees for the company.

*Accountability for the company’s safety department covering a portfolio of $50Million – $500Million Bid Build, Design-Build and JV projects.

*Work closely with Corporate Directors, Operations Directors, HR and Claims/Risk Managers to collaborate and ensure safety maintains the companies number 1 priority on projects.

*Design and develop the company’s safety strategy ensuring clients such as State DOTs and Government Authorities to increase work load.

*Coordinate with the Leadership Team to assure full compliance and certification attained.

*The position will be reporting into the COO and Leadership Team of the company.

 

Key Requirements:

*Bachelor’s degree in related technical field.

*+15years’ experience with a heavy civil/infrastructure contractor in North America.

*Holding senior position in a Safety Department with experience leading a team of safety professionals.

*A knowledge of CO, NC, VA, FL, TE and TX state safety laws would be a benefit.

They seek to bring on board an experienced Project Director to oversee a portfolio of major LRT & Rail projects across Canada. The Role:

  • As the face of the organisation, the incumbent will lead on pursuits and project delivery on $250M – $1B Design & Build/PPP Rail & Transit projects across Canada.
  • Lead client interaction both with Engineers, Consultants and Government Authorities.
  • Full P&L project responsibility leading a highly motivated team to deliver major complex projects on time and on budget.
  • Liaise with the Practice Manager and Team Leaders to ensure we have sufficient resources with the right skills to deliver our current and future market strategies.
  • Coordinate material purchases, assure that subcontractor agreements are prepared and change orders are accurate and issued to owners, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Sit as member of the board for the particular project(s).
  • Full responsibility for staffing of the project.
  • Responsible to the Senior Vice President and Regional President.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15 years minimum extensive experience within the Transit/Rail infrastructure industry.
  • Demonstrable leadership and a proven track record of successful delivery on +$500M Design-Build, Bid Build or PPP project.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for identifying all staffing requirements within the project, and to ensure that recruits are of sufficient quality to meet high company standards.
  • Good communication skills to interface with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills having previously worked with multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in understanding customer requirements and developing winning pursuits.

*Leading the estimating of major bidding through to tendering process and into project delivery from an estimating capacity.
*Coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers about prospective work.
*Review bid documents, drawings and specifications.
*Meet clients, JV Partners, engineers, subcontractors and vendors.
*Oversees and provides support to any number of projects from an operational, financial and resource standpoint.

Key Requirements:
*Degree educated in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

As a result of continued growth, they are now seeking a forward thinking and strategic minded Vice President of Operations to join the executive leadership team in their Dallas office.

THE ROLE

•Full responsibility for the management of the Construction, Purchasing & Estimating, and Customer Service departments. Developing and leading a team consisting of 20 direct reports.
•Work closely with all departments to create the capability to achieve growth targets in a fast-paced environment
•Provide high-level strategic leadership over all facets of divisional operations to ensure the department is an active profit centre for the company
•Play a key role in the buying and development of various products ranging from single family level to town homes.

REQUIREMENTS

•The ideal candidate will be experienced at leading the purchasing/construction functions or in an operations function for a production homebuilder preferably with experience delivering in excess of 1000 units.
•At lease 7-10 years new home building experience.
•They will have a track record of coaching and mentoring staff to create the capability to achieve high levels of success within a growing Division
