The successful candidate will ensure all engineering and production operations are on schedule and completed, all technical compliance is met and search for improvement in their plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all health and safety measurements are met and placed as a priority.
  • Searching for methods to increase efficiency and reduce production costs.
  • Abide and adhere to the client’s maintenance program.
  • Provide technical knowledge and resources when necessary.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to comply with national and regional federations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Food Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of USDA, BRC and ISO or their equivalents.

Mackenzie Stuart Executive Search & Selection is working in close partnership with a leading manufacturer of Animal Pharmaceuticals. The organisation is one of the industry leaders in the market with a renowned global presence.

Due to the opening of a new division, the organisation is seeking to recruit a General Manager – Animal Health Pharmaceuticals. This is a key role within the organisation and will be responsible for building the business unit from scratch and establishing the long term strategy.

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the EU. Relocation packages are available, specific locations will be disclosed on application.
  • Educated with a Bachelor’s degree discipline. Additional Animal Science or related qualifications are a considerable advantage.
  • 10+ year’s commercial experience, with some specific exposure to Livestock and Companion Pharmaceuticals.
  • 5+ years management experience working with Sales & Marketing functions.
  • Strong combination of general manager skills and experience with previous P&L/Budgetary management experience.
  • Previous experience within Europe and able to work effectively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
  • Entrepreneurial and motivated self-starter who can be the focal point for customers and employees.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Define sales and marketing channels for Livestock and Companion Pharmaceuticals across Europe.
  • Complete P&L management responsibility for the new business unit working with the global team to establish long term operational goals.
  • Full headcount responsibility managing all functions and teams within the Animal Pharmaceutical organisation for Europe, including managing all recruitment and development of employees.
  • Work closely with customers to establish long term relationships and channels for diversification.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handling sourcing, price negotiation, payments, shipping and order follow up for all global business
  • Strategize to improve existing Purchasing systems and bring up to standard
  • Meet, source and audit new suppliers while maintaining existing supplier relationships
  • Stock management, quality checking and internal communication
  • Monitor suppliers performance to ensure quality, regulations and scheduled are met
  • Forecast upcoming demand and track status of ongoing activities, supporting both sales team and product development capabilities.
