Mackenzie Stuart are currently working with a leading provider of Image Cytometry products for Cell Analysis, to be used in Life Science and Biomedical research. Products range from cell viability counters to high-throughput image cytometry systems.

The company are rapidly growing and they are looking for a Sales Representative to join their team in the UK and to grow and develop existing & new accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of sales forecasts for the territory/area for Direct and Channel orders
  • Responsible for Distributor of the complete product line in the assigned territory including target setting, quarterly tracking of sales and stocks
  • Develop key accounts and implement strategy with guidance from senior management
  • Launch new products, technical presentation in respective territory to promote product mix
  • Monthly reporting on competitor activity, support method development and transfer projects with the help of application team
  • 60% travel

Requirements:

  • Degree educated in Biology/Cell Biology field.
  • Track record of achievement in Sales, Marketing and Business Development roles in Cell Analysis/Flow Cytometry.
  • At least 3-5 years in technical commercial role in the Pharma/ Biotech/ Life Sciences industry.
  • Knowledge of Cell Biology would be a distinct advantage with strong communication skills and good analytical skills.

Senior Quantity Surveyor – House Building
Location: Southampton, UK

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart are currently seeking an experienced Surveyor on behalf of a nationally operating house builder as they continue growth out of their southern region.

THE ROLE

• Reporting to the Commercial Director the role will be an integral part of the regional commercial team
• Operating within a 400 unit, £90m region the Surveyor will be tasked with supporting the commercial function across all live developments with a particular focus on a new large development.
• Leading sites from their early stages the successful candidate will be responsible for all costs relating to the construction works from preparing estimates to final figures
• The role will involve on-going cost analysis, arranging payments, risk evaluations, and forecasts

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience for a home builder, preferably more.
• Experience of leading surveying functions across multiple schemes
• Experience with a range of construction methods including RC-Frame, Timber Frame, and Traditional Build
• Relevant industry qualification
• Excellent communication , IT, and teamworking skills

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart is presently working with a leading house builder operating on a national scale. The organisation is looking to bring on a Senior Land professional with experience in handling immediate and strategic land.

THE ROLE:

-Land Development lead responsible for the all land processes within the regional office, handling land purchasing for multiple projects.
-Current regional unit production looking to increase from 500 to 600 units over the next 2 years, the successful candidate will be required to identify opportunities to continue this growth following a 5 year business plan.
-Required to deal with various stages of land planning and developments including strategic and immediate.
-Responsible for managing and submitting bids alongside assessing off-market opportunities.
-Responsible for the preparation of group land reports.
-The successful individual will head the regions land department with great scope for career progression into a more senior level.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must have sound knowledge of local plans with ability to take through from identification to exchange and completion (managing legal process).
-Must have a strong knowledge of surrounding areas along with a sufficient network of contacts.

The Role:

* The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the successful commercial and contractual performance of a major Design-Build PPP Water Infrastructure project in Eastern Canada.

* Close collaboration with the project commercial team to deliver the project according to the commercial strategy.
* Ensure effective management of sub-contractors administration, client claims and disputes along with monthly reporting/scheduling.
* Liaise with project support functions such as finance, supply chain, risk and ensure an all-round commercial service is maintained.
* Offer major project support with contract management, change orders and any major claim negotiation.

* Manage a developing team of Assistant/Graduate QSs.

* Reporting into the Commercial Manager for the company.
 

Key Requirements:

* Degree qualified Quantity Surveying, Commercial or Law.

* +7 years’ industry experience.

* Knowledge of contract law, litigation, change management and dispute resolution in Canada.
* Commercial experience working in the Civil Engineering/Infrastructure construction market.
* Experience on +$100M Water Treatment/Waste Water projects ideal.
* Ability to work in a fast paced project environment working to a tight deadline.
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to work with autonomy.
