Anatomic Pathologist – UK
Mackenzie Stuart are currently representing a leading clinical trial central laboratory. Due to the continued expansion and domination on a global scale the need for an Anatomic Pathologist has arisen. The company are wanting to grow their pathology team within the UK and are seeking highly experienced and motivated individuals to join their team. The successful candidate will is required for the anatomic pathology sector of the central laboratory for clinical trials of new pharmaceuticals and diagnostics.
*Review routine histopathology slides on a daily basis to ensure the laboratory meet turnaround times for enrolment into clinical trials
*Establish and provide morphological diagnosis on H&E stained slides on both oncological and general surgical pathology samples as per clinical trial requirements
*Review and score immunohistochemistry and FISH slides
*Establish new histopathology assays in the laboratory
*Provide pathologist input to discussions with clinical trial sponsors, both to facilitate winning business and to ensure the delivery of goals of the clinical trial are met in a time efficient and cost effective manner
*Excellent knowledge of routine histopathology testing, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics testing procedures and applicable laboratory testing regulations
*Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles and an in depth knowledge of company specific program requirements
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
