Business Development Manager

Mackenzie Stuart is partnered with a global Testing, Inspection and Certification organization specializing in ensuring the quality and safety of Food, Pharmaceuticals, Agriculture and Medical products.

Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to secure new business, drive sustainable financial growth and forge strong relationships. The successful candidate will sell Dietary Supplement, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical and Water microbial testing services. This is an individual contributor role and 100% remote (must be based in The US).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Maximise growth in sales through ‘hunting’ activities using developed techniques and strategies to achieve specific growth targets
  • Achieve and exceed sales and profit targets by driving sales, volume, and margin growth in assigned territories/ accounts 
  • Develop close working relationship with customers
  • Create the sales plan and maintain the forecast

Requirements:

  • 2-3 Technical Sales experience
  • Experience selling laboratory services  
  • Hunter mentality
  • Network of contacts in the TIC industry
  • Knowledge of the Dietary Supplement, OTC, Pharma, Cosmetics or Water industries
  • Scientific Degree
