District Sales Manager – Insulated Metal Panels (Ontario, Canada)

Join a leading producer and supplier of premium Insulated Metal Panels, serving a wide range of building needs including Industrial, Commercial, Agricultural, and Residential sectors. Located in West Michigan, our state-of-the-art production facility is known for its technical advancements in North America. The client prioritize equipping our team with extensive knowledge of metal roofing and siding systems and are dedicated to delivering exceptional value and craftsmanship to our clientele.

They are currently seeking energetic individuals to join our team as a District Sales Manager. This role is responsible for achieving sales revenue targets and gross margin goals, while fostering and nurturing long-term customer relationships across Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships through various channels including face-to-face visits, customer service efforts, and digital communications.
  • Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting and order solicitation to order processing and delivery coordination.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct on-site visits to support sales efforts and enhance customer interactions.
  • Serve as a product expert, delivering informative presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Interpret construction documents and specifications to generate accurate estimates and takeoffs.
  • Strategically plan and prioritize weekly schedules to optimize customer engagement and travel efficiency.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan to expand market share and achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide regular activity reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in sales or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience in the construction or architectural products industry.
  • Previous experience in metal building sales is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Proven negotiation skills with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Exceptional planning abilities and strategic thinking.

Language, Mathematical, and Reasoning Skills:

  • Ability to read, interpret, and generate reports, blueprints, and other technical documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematical calculations such as discounts, costs, and percentages.
  • Aptitude for applying contextual understanding to execute tasks effectively.
