Key Account Manager – Fragrance

THE BUSINESS

It is no secret that the global fragrance industry has seen a huge amount of consolidation over the last year or two as a result of several acquisitions. Whatever your thoughts on this (be it good or bad) one of our key client’s has seen this as a good business opportunity. They are looking for a Key Account Manager to join their sales team in New Jersey and help expand the company business presence with clients that now may be seeking appropriately equipped suppliers. This is a brand new role as a result of growth and offers an exciting developmental opportunity for the right candidate.

ROLE

  • Create and implement sales strategy to target customer accounts and generate growth with Perfumery & Cosmetic clients
  • Manage the sale of cross-category fragrance compounds
  • Conduct business development activity, set budgets, manage negotiations and pricing to hit business objectives
  • Act as key point of contact for clients, understanding and meeting needs with excellent product and market knowledge
  • Expand company footprint in the US market
  • Represent company at trade shows and exhibitions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Sales role with a focus on the Fragrance market in the US
  • Ideally, will have existing customer contacts (Beauty Care focus) to call upon
  • Good communications skills
  • Excellent negotiations, commercial and sales skills
  • Ability to travel when necessary across region
