Mackenzie Stuart is working with one of the leading Florida based National Behavioral Healthcare Organisation. Presently recruiting for a Psychiatrist to come on board and provide direct clinical care to acute care psychiatric or substance use disorder patients.
Our client is a leading not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization dedicated to delivering care that significantly impacts people’s across the east coast. They provide both mental health and substance use disorder treatment, community support and education as well as also serving those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The candidate would perform psychiatric clinical services to adults, including evaluation, follow-up, medication, emergency & crisis intervention, telephone consultation, etc. This would be provided with clinical consultation and collaboration with mental health staff. Oversees the quality of psychiatric care administered to adults through direct observation of clinicians, case review, interdepartmental communication, consultation with health care professionals outside the organization, etc. This candidate would attend and participate in staff meetings and provides input regarding staffing, resource management, current and proposed policy and procedure. Provides consultation services for families, network agencies, and community practitioners. Assists Vice President of Medical Services in developing system-wide policies and procedures. Develops and implements clinical programs and policies to improve the facility’s quality of services. Facilitates efforts to obtain and maintain Joint Commission accreditation by ensuring accurate documentation is recorded and maintained. Provides staff training.
The required candidate must be educated to Doctorate (MD) level within psychiatry and be eligible for board certification in psychiatry. Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills are a must. A current license to practice in the state of Florida is essential for this position.
