REGIONAL DIRECTOR OPERATIONS – VETERINARY PRACTICES – CALIFORNIA

Mackenzie Stuart Executive Search & Selection is working in close partnership with a Private Equity backed veterinary Buying group looking to expand their portfolio throughout the California region.

With an influx of funding and some intense growth strategies in place, we are seeking to recruit a Director of Operations to lead the expansion throughout California.

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the US. Relocation packages are available, specific locations will be disclosed on application.
  • Educated with a Bachelor’s degree discipline. Additional Animal Science or Veterinary related qualifications are a considerable advantage.
  • 10+ year’s commercial experience, with some specific exposure to the Veterinary industry.
  • 5+ years management experience.
  • Strong combination of general manager skills and experience with previous P&L management experience.
  • Headcount responsibility is mandatory with a minimum of +5 direct reports.
  • Entrepreneurial and motivated self-starter who can be the focal point for customers and employees.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the daily operations of 5+ practices with plans to expand this to 10-15 practices in 12-18 months.
  • Accountable for the P/L, forecasting and the day to day operations of the facilities.
  • Hire and manage a leadership team of Practice Managers to support the growth of the portfolio.
  • Manage a team with +20 direct reports.
  • Full headcount responsibility managing all functions and teams within the Livestock business unit, including managing all recruitment and development of employees.
