Sales Director – Freight Forwarding

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a rapidly growing, Global 3rd Party Logistics provider on the search for an L.A. based Sales Director specializing in the Freight Forwarding market.

Location: Los Angeles, US

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our clients sales team within the Los Angeles Freight Forwarding market. The Sales Director will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and building strong client relationships. This position requires a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry and a proven track record in sales leadership.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives within the USA Freight Forwarding market.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Identify and target potential clients, nurturing leads, and converting them into long-term partnerships.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
  • Implement robust sales tracking and reporting systems to monitor sales performance, pipeline management, and forecasting.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 10+ years Sales experience across Air, Ocean or Ground Freight Forwarding markets
  • 5+ years’ experience in logistics leadership positions
  • In-depth knowledge of the US Freight Forwarding market, including key players, trends, and challenges.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
