Mackenzie Stuart has partnered with a leading, global, high-performance materials manufacturer in their search for a talented sales manager to join their team in driving profitable growth across a portfolio of Engineering Thermoplastics (PBT, PA, PC, etc) for the Medical market across the DACH region. The position will report into the Regional Sales Director.
Purpose:
To accelerate organic business growth by driving the acquisition of new business as well as the development of existing accounts within a highly strategic growth segment. The successful candidate will interface predominantly with Tier-1 automotive manufacturers and OEMs.
Responsibilities:
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and customers, as well as acquire new accounts
- Establish and maintain a pipeline of prospects categorized as unqualified, qualified, and targeted within the designated area of responsibility
- Achieve and exceed sales and profit targets by driving sales, volume, and margin growth in assigned territories/accounts in line with Segment strategy
- Manage suppliers and product portfolios assigned to you
- Report financial and project updates to both internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Collaborate with Group Development to identify portfolio gaps and gain new suppliers
- Provide technical expertise to support new business development initiatives
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to fulfil unmet customer and market needs, resulting in the sale of new and existing products
- Support marketing activities such as promotions, market research, and competition analysis
- Effectively communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external
- Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge within your area of responsibility.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Chemistry or related fields
- 5+ years’ experience in technical sales relating to Engineering Polymers
- A good understanding of, and network within, the engineering polymers industry & medical market throughout the DACH region
- Ability to understand and translate opportunities into new business
- Driver’s license
- Willingness to travel (up to 40-50%)
