Technical Sales Executive – Automotive Refinish

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with an international coatings manufacturer selling primarily into the automotive industry, with target end-users as OEMs and body shops.

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Executive for Automotive Refinish, based in the Germany. The role will be reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

 

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Demonstration of products to body shops which result in order taking
  • Train Manufacturers Agents and distributor’s salespeople on the product lines at the body shop and distributors
  • Manage time accordingly to access customers evenly across Germany
  • Conduct body shop training meetings
  • Manage 1 direct report
  • Open new jobbers on the product line by creating demand at the shops
  • Give feedback to Technical Centre on product performance and new product opportunities
  • Drive increased share growth at account improving volume, sales revenue and profitability
  • Weekly written sales reports

 

 

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

 

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Germany
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and orally in English & German
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience in Automotive Refinish market or related
  • Technical ability and knowledge with car painting / spray experience
  • Knowledge of large customers and body shops and their structure
  • Experience managing revenue, budgeting and forecasting
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain long term client relationships
  • Able to understand key business drivers and to have the vision to identify long and short term market penetration opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills
  • Ability to teach through technical proficiency
  • Experience providing technical support to sales team and/or customers.
  • Regional travel 50% +

 

The expected salary for this role would be in the region of €65,000 – €70,000 plus OTE 20-30% plus added benefits.
