Vice President of Operations – Aggregates – Texas

Mackenzie Stuart is currently assisting for a search for a VP of Operations, to be based in Texas & covering a multi-state territory. This is a highly important position for the organization with progression opportunities to continue in career development.

Responsibilities of the role include, but may not be limited to:

  • Operational oversight of 10+ quarries in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas & Louisiana. Both quarrying & plant operations
  • Enact & develop operational strategies to improve efficiencies
  • Work closely with M&A teams to further increase operational footprint in the region
  • Coordinate with sales & logistics to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Responsible for fleet management
  • Develop ideas, review & execute long & short term capital expenditure projects
  • Mentor internal management candidates to ensure strong succession plans

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in aggregate quarrying & processing
  • Experience in fleet management
  • Multi-site management experience
  • Strong records on safety & sustainability
  • In depth understanding of financial management relating to P&L, cost management & budgets
