Mackenzie Stuart is working closely with a multinational logistics solution provider on a search for a Global Account Manager with a background in Air and Ocean freight forwarding Supply Chain Solutions.
The role will be based in based in France and report directly to the Global Sales Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the role include:
- Operate in a hunter/outside sales role.
- Visit potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analysis of sales options.
- Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions.
- Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
- Identification of new business opportunities through analysis of industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Source, develop customer’s data base and follow up overseas sales leads.
- Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
- Respond to customers with RFQs by coordinating with customer service and operations team.
- Determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must have completed an Apprenticeship or Bachelor’s degree in a Logistics/Supply Chain relevant field.
- A transferrable portfolio of customer accounts is preferred but not essential.
- 5+ years experience in a commercially focused role with as focus on air & ocean freight forwarding clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strang interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in English both written and verbally.
