Rhianna Collins

I joined Mackenzie Stuart’s London office last year after completing a degree in Politics & Sociology from Newcastle University. Recruitment seemed like a good fit for the skills which I had developed throughout my degree, particularly those around communicating with others, research and identifying key information. Mackenzie Stuart’s graduate scheme seemed like the ideal place as there were clear progression opportunities and the benefits, including the commission scheme and incentive opportunities were very strong.

From my initial interview, I knew it would be a great place to work as the team were outgoing and were clearly passionate about what they did. Hearing about the progression that many of the graduates made so quickly definitely appealed to me. The training provided set me up to be able to work independently with support from my experienced manager. The vibrant and open office working style really facilitates a positive working experience where support is always available. I initially knew very little about my agrochemicals market but loved having the opportunity to discover more about this exciting industry and make it my own. I look forward to growing further within my role and the progress which is available up ahead.

I studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, and was eager to utilise the skills I gained at University & start my professional career. Recruitment seemed like a good industry to explore as many of the skills I had developed throughout university were transferrable, such as communication, time management and research skills. After exploring several companies, Mackenzie Stuart stood out to me due to the investment they put into their graduates – they only promote internally meaning that the opportunities for growth & progression are endless! I was also attracted by earning potential at Mackenzie Stuart & the social incentives offered.

The training programme provides you with the resources to succeed & become an expert in your market sector – I quickly saw how to utilise these skills to get results, which was really rewarding. I have already enjoyed many of the incentives that Mackenzie Stuart offer – from a trip to Dublin, to an amazing Christmas party & the many end of period socials! It is great to be recognised for your hard work & makes Mackenzie Stuart such a rewarding place to work at. I’m excited to see how I continue to grow & develop at Mackenzie Stuart – continuing to develop my market sector & hopefully managing my own team soon!

I joined Mackenzie Stuart as a graduate from Leeds University and was given the chance to build out a network of senior candidates and develop working relationships with industry leading organisations. I found success within the TIC market quickly from a combination of excellent senior management passing their wisdom on, hard work, grit and determination. Within a year I have built a vast network of industry leading executives and client connections which allows me to repetitively generate business across the globe.

Whilst the job requires resilience and determination it is made enjoyable due to the vibrant office culture and being surrounded by other likeminded individuals. Everyone in the office spurs each other on to overachieve within their specific markets. There are plenty of company incentives such as holidays, meals, vouchers and days off for overachieving the monthly target which results in positive environment and a winning mindset.

I wanted to get into recruitment as I was desperate to earn large sums of money after leaving university with debt, this industry offers the fastest progression and earnings within your first year, and beyond, after graduation. After interviewing at several recruitment firms, I was dead set on Mackenzie Stuart as their commission structure is the best on the market, their quarterly incentive for top billers are incredible, for instance the summer incentive is a company funded long weekend in Ibiza. This business provides a clear path of progression and is somewhere I can see myself having a long and successful career at.

I joined Mackenzie Stuart following the completion of a History Degree at the University of Leeds. The main reason for joining, was the earning potential both within recruitment but more specifically within the Mackenzie Stuart Group with the commission structure that’s on offer. Alongside this, the office has a strong social culture, which after playing sports through University was appealing as it felt like the social element of being on a team was similarly matched within the office environment. The social aspects are regular end of period days out, holiday incentives & a few of us even got to go to the British Open.

Since I have joined, I have managed to work up to becoming a Senior Consultant through the guidance of the management team & assistance from more experienced colleagues. The rates of progression are entirely merit & results based, which is another strong pull factor within the company if you are motivated to progress quite quickly within a company.

The best part of the job are the phone calls when you place a candidate. A lot goes into a process, but working at Mackenzie Stuart, we have a number of very successful consultants & managers that you can ask about any situation in a process & it’s likely that they have faced something similar, allowing you to deal with a variety of situations which alone, would have left you without a placement.

Following the completion of my International Relations MA at Northumbria, the pathway into the public sector simply didn’t pique my interest. Having always had a deep curiosity of the commercial working world, I began exploring what was out there. Captivated by the meritocratic structure & earning potential, I began my career with Mackenzie Stuart.

Mackenzie Stuart prioritises personal growth for ambitious people, cultivated by a team of exceptionally hard-working consultants and managers. It became very apparent, very quickly, that I was in the right place. Being surrounded by like-minded people, my ambitious growth plans were encouraged daily, under the supervision of industry leaders.

The recruitment industry if often misrepresented; it’s a Sales and Business Development industry, and the product is people. Being able to deliver results for both candidates and clients in my market is exceptionally rewarding. I expressed during my interview process that I had an interest in the Specialty Chemicals Space, and to my surprise, I was put into that market. Since joining, I have made significant career & financial progress, and look forward to seeing how high I can push myself in Mackenzie Stuart.
