Principal Flavorist (Sweet Creation) will focus on creative flavor development and commercialization, technical innovation, successful mentoring and training of junior Flavorists, provides support to other Flavorists, and active customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop flavor solutions including creation, duplication and modification of a wide variety of sweet flavor profiles to meet customer satisfaction and requirements
  • Processing and application of aroma chemicals and flavor materials to develop and apply appropriate methods to test stability
  • Drive the investigation and discovery of new ingredients technologies, material and methods which provide innovation solutions to customers

Requirements 

  • B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry or related field of study
  • 6-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience developing flavors for sweet applications such as confectionery
  • Certified member of the Society of Flavor Chemists is required

Mackenzie Stuart is collaborating with a fast growing Contract Manufacturer of Cosmetic Wipes & Skincare products to find a Director of Quality with strong industry experience. The role will be the primary contact for all Quality issues and will lead all investigations and ensure compliance to all SOP’s and regulatory standards. THE ROLE

You Will Be Responsible For…

  • To manage purchases for all materials required at the most competitive prices
  • To source materials for the group of companies (Asia, France, USA)
  • To update and manage ERP system for all materials with safety stock, purchasing lead time, approved suppliers
  • Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
  • Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers, while visiting and auditing new suppliers in China & India on a regular basis
  • Process “Purchasing Requests” received from the factory and generated Prices requested to approved suppliers and Purchase orders
  • Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met – or exceeded
  • To source new suppliers in the region and travel as necessary

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a good understanding of ERP systems and company’s process flow
  • Organization skills are needed, as well as good communication skills for internal and external contacts
  • 2-3+ years’ experience in raw materials purchasing for the fragrance, flavour or related industry.
  • English speaking is essential and Mandarin is beneficial

You Will Be Responsible For…

  • The sale of Aroma Chemicals, Essential Oils & Botanicals Extracts in to the US market
  • Business development to attack the market and set the company up with a good pipeline of future business opportunities
  • Cold calling, meetings and trade shows as well as other proactive strategy to acquire and nurture relationships with some of the most reputable f&f house customers in the world

This is a new role, formed to aid the company’s expansion in line with FDA and COFEPRIS regulatory bodies.

 

THE ROLE

 

  • Manage and direct the formulation and innovation of ingredients
  • Conduct toxicology review and safety assessments for internal and external customers
  • Propose ideas and concepts on new formulas, attending meetings with customers, tradeshows and team members
  • Evaluate formula and improve existing products to complete projects according to timetable and in-line with regulations
