Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with an industry leading Third-Party Logistics Company. The company is a well-known full-service logistics provider, specialising in Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics solutions.

 

We are currently recruiting for a Vice President of Human Resources, based in Chicago, IL.

 

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Oversight of the entire North American headcount, providing strategic oversight and leadership for all operations relative to the HR function
  • Direct responsibility for a small but dynamic HR team, having a ‘can-do’ attitude to work alongside senior leadership as well entry level employees
  • Understand the impact of culture, mitigate the risk of cultural incoherence, develop a structured process to effectively diagnose, manage and integrate organizational cultures
  • Work with Human Resources and internal Hiring Managers to recruit and develop potential talent both internally and externally for current open positions
  • Understand and mitigate various employee law requirements across multiple states
  • Administering and leading a culture shift to a high-performance culture
  • Act as an employee champion and change agent by anticipating HR-related needs and delivering value added services for the benefit of the employees
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems

 

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

 

  • Candidate must ideally come from a Logistics and Supply Chain background
  • Must be based or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL. For the right candidate a remote position would be considered
  • 10-15 years of related experience in Human Resources
  • Some experience in a senior Human Resources type position with multiple direct reports
  • Bachelor’s degree is essential
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Be able to read, analyse and interpret complex documents
  • Knowledge of employee in various states a bonus
  • Must be fluent in English both orally and written
  • Proven track record of leading teams, achieving objectives and personnel development

 

The expected salary for this role is between USD$165K – $180K with a performance bonus in place.

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a market leading logistics company who specialise in the Health & Pharma vertical. We are currently recruiting for a Key Account Manager, specialising managing Pharma Supply Chain, based in Los Angeles, CA. The role will be reporting directly to the Regional Director.

 

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement new Standard Operating Procedures working alongside Branch Managers and ensure coherence across customer accounts
  • Act as lead for key customer accounts across the West Coast, USA
  • To sustain existing key accounts and develop new business through selling the companies value propositions in specialized vertical markets
  • Work with Business Development and Outside Sales Teams to identify new business opportunities, leveraging contacts and network to drive growth
  • Work to ensure all shipments are delivered within the agreed service contracts
  • To work cohesively with operational and functional groups to deliver end value to the customer
  • To participate in contract and price negotiations with customers

 

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Los Angeles, CA
  • Some form of experience within the Healthcare/Pharma vertical is preferred but not essential
  • Degree level education or above is preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in industry specific account management in a 3PL or Freight Forwarding type environment
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently. advantage but not essential
  • Used to working on a focused and results-oriented basis with strong independence
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

 

The expected salary for this role would be USD $70,000-$80,000, with other performance related benefits available.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • To sustain existing Brokerage accounts and develop new business through selling the companies value propositions in specialized vertical markets
  • To hunt for new business and secure new prospects
  • To work cohesively with operational and functional groups to deliver end value to the customer
  • To participate in contract and price negotiations with customers
  • Provide multi-national vertical supply chain solutions for customers and ensure client needs and requirements are met

 

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Long Beach, Los Angeles, CA
  • Proven track record managing a book of yearly business or selling capabilities relative to Freight Brokerage.
  • Degree level education or above is preferred but not essential
  • 2+ years’ experience in industry specific sales in a 3PL or Freight Forwarding type environment

We are currently recruiting for a National Services Manager, specialising in Contract Logistics, based in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate with come from both a Financial and Contract Logistics background.

 

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Lead the central Contract Logistics support team, managing the core of the business as it provides scalability for growth
  • Managing 4 direct reports; a mix of both administrative and commercial
  • Controlling and administering national contracts, gathering relative data for new business bids and leading the billing and accounting team
  • Develop and manage central labour management tools through Power BI software and ensure that data is collected is collected accurately
  • Work alongside Human Resource functions to manage staffing agency relationships at a national level and sure performance metrics are met
  • Lead rotational training programs, working alongside the training development team on content creation and managing the onboarding/orientation process
  • Manage national safety programs and develop best practices to be rolled out company-wide

 

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in progressively higher-level management roles
  • Located or willing to relocate to Chicago, IL
  • 3+ years of experience in contract logistics and e-commerce
  • Experience in billing and other accounting functions
  • Experience in project management and process and program development
  • Strong technical expertise and ability to innovate and use new technology to enhance shared-services
  • Knowledge of PowerBI software is preferred but not essential
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally with focus on Supply Chain Management
  • Must be fluent in English both orally and written

  • Negotiates with transportation carriers and providers to obtain, set rates and determine services available.
  • Proactively handles customer shipment routing requests.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the account.
  • To work cohesively with operational and functional groups to deliver end value to the customer
  • Prepares and distributes “load-build” reports for customers and carriers
  • Tracks and traces shipments from pickup through delivery to ensure accurate and up-to-date shipment information is being provided to customers.
  • To participate in contract and price negotiations with customers

  • Must be based in Vernon, LA, California
  • 10+ years previous employment within industry
  • Bachelor’s degree is essential
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Must be fluent in English both orally and written, ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
  • Proven track record of leading teams, achieving objectives and personnel development

 

The expected salary for this role is between USD$130K – $150K with a performance bonus in place.
