Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a multi-national refiner and marketer of petroleum products. Due to an upcoming retirement, we are searching for a Vice President of Operations, based near Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all operations of >3,000 bpd capacity facility, ensuring all processes follow Core Values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork and Accountability
  • Provide oversight and direction to a team of ~170 Operations personnel including 6 direct reports
  • Regularly interact with the executive team and senior business leaders, ensuring operational priorities and objectives are aligned with company strategy
  • Maintain consistently high standards across product quality, equipment and operator performance and that cost-effective technology is utilised to maximize production and facility availability
  • Ensure the preservation of fixed assets and provide recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements to existing property

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Located in or willing to relocate to Pittsburgh area
  • 10+ years’ leadership experience at a similar manufacturing facility
  • Operations/Maintenance/Production experience in either a specialty chemicals facility or refinery is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or another related field. MBA preferable but not required.

The expected salary for this role would be in the region of $170,000 – $240,000 plus bonus and additional benefits.

Our client is recruiting for a Business Development Manager –  Government Services & International Trade – based anywhere in the UK and responsible for growing new business portfolio within the market sector.

This role will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for the development of UK Business.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Travelling to meet clients face to face and gain new clients.
  •  Develop new business , growing the portfolio and growing business >5% YoY.
  • Work directly with Governments and Trade Organisations to develop long lasting relationships.

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a privately owned, mid-sized refiner and marketer of oils, lubricants and specialty products. The product line includes gasoline, diesel, waxes and base oils.

We are currently recruiting for a Sr. R&D Solutions Specialist, preferably based in Pennsylvania. The role will be reporting directly to the Director of Research & Development.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a key R&D interface/liaison with Sales & Marketing to understand and meet customer needs in key markets
  • Conduct technical visits to customers to understand application needs and issues
  • Serve as lead R&D innovation resource, focused upon differentiation of products in existing and new markets
  • Oversee research into existing portfolio performance and execute research projects to support design of new product applications or technology
  • Collaborate with Marketing on technical product collateral

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Ideally located in or willing to relocate to North West Pennsylvania
  • BS/MS degree, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 12 years’ R&D experience in a petroleum product setting
  • Able to travel up to 25% of time when required

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a renowned multi-national manufacturer of specialty lubricants for multiple market applications.

We are currently recruiting for a Market Manager, located remotely across the Midwest/southeast (including Texas). The territory will be assigned based upon location, with the successful candidate reporting directly to North American Sales Director.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive business development and growth across 3 primary market segments: Steel, Cement and Mining
  • Develop and execute strategies and support programs via direct contact with end users , service customers and channel partners
  • Provide insight to sales organisation regarding market needs and priorities, future direction and lead generation
  • Plan, implement and coordinate marketing activities for market segments to achieve revenue forecasts
  • Evaluate pricing to deliver appropriate margins whilst remaining competitive. Implement and oversee price increases where required.

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently based in a convenient location across the Midwest/southeast (including Texas)
  • At least 3 years’ commercial experience in Lubricants industry
  • Experience in mining or cement maintenance departments
  • Bachelor’s educated, preferably in the field of Mechanical Engineering
  • Ability to travel 30- 50% of time as required

The expected salary for this role would be in the region of $80,000 – $100,000 plus bonus, commission and additional benefits.
