Role: Transmission Estimator
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 + Attractive Benefits

Location: Easton, Pennsylvania

THE BUSINESS

Mackenzie Stuart is currently working with a premier construction company which specializes in the design and construction of vital electric utility infrastructure. With extensive growth in the North East region, the Regional Director is currently seeking for an experienced Transmission Estimator.

THE ROLE

  • Reporting to the Regional Director.
  • Preparing complete cost estimates for all Transmission projects.
  • Ensure estimates are completed prior to deadlines.
  • Schedule and attend field walk-downs
  • Prepare job folders and conduct hand-off meetings with Superintendents and Foremen.
  • Participate in estimate review process with internal and external stake holders
  • Request, review and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotes.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related or experience is preferred but not essential construction industry.
  • Prior experience within the construction industry is not essential.
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Word.
  • Travel within the region for clients and site visits.

Role: Project Manager – T&D
Location: Pennsylvania, USA

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 plus benefits

 

The Client

Mackenzie Stuart are working for one of the largest and most respected electrical contracting companies in North America. The company offers transmission, distribution, and substation construction services; emergency response services; and engineering and design services. They are currently seeking a Project Manager to help manage a program of Transmission & Substation projects.

The Role

  • Managing Transmission and Distribution projects program with a major power utility.
  • Preparation of project construction schedules
  • Acting as main point of contact with clients

Ensure completion of project deliverables (schedule, estimate, construction plan) according to customer requirements.

  • Manage and review all project costs, including development of recovery plans to stay within budget limits.
  • Prepare project status reports.
  • Provide forecasts and cash flow for projects.
  • Reporting to Management team

 

Key Requirements

  • 1 Year minimum Project Manager, Estimator experience in the Utilities or Construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management preferred.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time to and from project sites.
  • Ability to complete MS Excel and Word skills testing

The Client:
Mackenzie Stuart is currently working for a leader in the high voltage construction industry. The company provides transmission and distribution (T&D) electrical construction services to customers throughout the continental United States. They are looking to appoint an Operations Manager to assist the Regional Manager within their Transmission & Distribution division.

The Role:
• Responsible for a multidisciplinary team and the delivery of a portfolio of Power Transmission projects across the region.
• Report to key parts of the business.
• Liaison with the client to make sure all key deliverables are outlined and executed to the highest quality.
• Ensuring all activities, health and safety and each phase of the projects are managed to the highest standard.
• Working alongside the commercial team, you will develop financial controls, detailing profit and loss and detailed cost, completing reports for each project.

Key Experience:
• Qualified to a minimum of degree level in a related process and or engineering qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building transmission lines, ideally with experience working lines up to 345KV.
• Site management/operations experience, along with knowledge of accreditation processes.
• Exceptional leadership skills and understanding of back office practice are required.

Our client has a strong reputation in the Water industry and operates across multiple industry sectors including Chemicals, Construction, Food & Beverage, Industrial Water Treatment, Oil & Gas, Portable Water Treatment, Power, Refineries, Sewerage and Wastewater Treatment.

The organization is seeking to recruit a General Manager / Managing Director – Japan. This is a senior leadership role that will be responsible for leading the organisations in Japan and also to provide strategic and operational support to the organisation across the wider Asia Pacific region.

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

*Located or willing and able to relocate to Yokohama or Susono.
*Educated with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similarly related. A Master’s degree would be preferred but not essential.
*Must have a minimum of 10 year’s experience in the Water industry, specifically with an organisation manufacturing water technologies and equipment would be preferred.
*Will have strong knowledge and technical understanding of water technology products and projects.
*Must have water / waste water experience across multiple industry sectors – preferably including Oil & Gas, Refineries, Chemicals and Power.
*Will have worked extensively in Japan and the Asia Pacific region. It is critical that this individual has a good network of contacts and cultural understanding of the local business environment in Japan.
*Must have managed a $multi-million P&L and show a proven track record of leadership and business growth at a country/ regional level.
*Have a sales / business development mind set with an ability to utilise your network of contacts to grow and increase sales revenues.
*Will have strong leadership, communication, management and team working abilities. Must speak English to a level of business proficiency.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

*Responsible for leading and managing the organisations operations in Japan and providing support to the wider Asia Pacific region.
*Accountable for a P&L of over $5 Million and 35+ employees and will report directly to the corporate HQ to the Board of Directors.
*Will travel domestically and internationally to support sales and operations across the region.
*Will be responsible for driving regional business growth with a particular emphasis on sales and business development strategy.
*Manages, trains and mentors junior employees to ensure a highly motivated and dedicated workforce with a focus on staff retention and internal development.
