Mackenzie Stuart is working closely with a global Coatings Manufacturer who specialise in Marine Coatings who require an ambitious Sales professional with the following background and experience within Denmark to drive & expand Marine Coatings portfolio across the Nordics, DACH & Central Europe Regions:

Personification requirements:

  • Have already gained extensive experience within the Marine industry internationally specifically the Baltics, Nordics & Central Europe regions with at least >4 years in technical capacity of Sales (B2B), Marketing or Business Development
  • Bachelor’s educated in Science or Business is preferred but not essential (MBA/M.S. preferred but not essential)
  • You have excellent communication skills and you are proficient with MS Office & master Data Analysis techniques
  • Proven ability to understand the high demand across industry, such as commercial, military, and Yacht market
  • Proven ability to demonstrate the communication of technological implications of Marine applications
  • Proven ability to understand global Marine coatings market trends, characteristics & requirements specifically with end-users & user types & competitor activity
  • Proven ability to understand market drivers that effect commercial segmentation and specific driving factors related to Yacht, Commercial & Military application
  • Ability to work Autonomously and with a team when needed
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Nordics & Central Europe & potentially ME

Job description: Reporting to Business Manager

  • Ensure brand is adhering to strategic business plans and targets & track competitor’s cliental globally within the Marine coatings markets
  • This position will be responsible for developing and leading B2B sales strategy, identifying and building relationships on an international level
  • Expand & develop existing business within the Marine Network
  • Maximise customer product portfolio to increase sales opportunities and profitability
  • Be responsible of all the technical aspects in manufacturing plant (e.g. demonstrating new products and technical processes and training)
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, cross-functional & multifunctional colleagues, end-users and other influencers in the market
  • Be responsible for the coordination of pricing actions, monitor competitor’s activities, and execute programs as defined in BU plans
  • It is an individual contributor role that requires a highly resourceful, autonomous individual with strong business acumen, communication and interpersonal skills

You will be responsible for:

  • For identifying, developing and managing new/existing business opportunities
  • Develop relationships with primary accounts, key stakeholders and critical decision makers
  • Be responsible for increasing & retaining marine coatings accounts to cruise lines, commercial shipping companies, marine distributors, and Mega Yachts across the Baltics, Nordics & Central Europe
  • Growing & expanding sales for Marine KA across Europe
  • Implement business strategy & market analysis & carry out B2B approaches carrying out extensive travel to customers to gained significant market share with companies product line in the region
  • Take part in various trade shows and events where possible
  • Managed major dry dock projects
  • Create sales budgets and exceeded sales targets
  • Collaborate with Technical & Commercial Partners to assist with the development of a new fouling paint products for the global maritime markets.
  • Communicate effectively with technical staff and senior management on the status of priority accounts and ongoing projects
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customers’ operations and determine technical needs
  • Negotiate pricing agreements and contracts in accordance with internal guidelines
  • Respond quickly to customer requests and maintain a professional demeanor when handling all matters
  • Forecast and track key business metrics to develop individual business plan
  • Assist and collaborate with other sales team members on opportunities related to your specific technical experience and knowledge

The estimated compensation package of this position is in between €70,000-€110,000 compensation package dependent on experience plus Social & Performance bonuses

  • Have already gained extensive sales experience in the Marine industry of >5 years in technical capacity of Sales and/or Business Development
  • You have excellent communication skills and you are proficient with MS Office & master Data Analysis techniques
  • Understand the operating and manufacturing complex analytical instrumentation utilised in manufacturing & operation within Marine Coatings
  • Proven ability to understand the high demand across industry, such as commercial, military, and Yacht Coatings
  • Proven ability to demonstrate the communication of technological implications of Protective & Marine applications
  • Proven ability to understand global Marine coatings market trends, characteristics & requirements specifically with end-users & user types
  • Proven ability to understand market drivers that effect commercial segmentation and specific driving factors related to Yacht, Commercial & Military application
  • Ability to work Autonomously and with a team
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic production/manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the East Coast of USA in a B2B manner
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Ability to work in the U.S without sponsorship

The estimated compensation package of this position is in between $100,000-160,000 + Social & Performance bonuses
