Position Summary:
The position serves as the primary point of contact for generating Innovative Nutraceutical sales from new and existing customers. Innovative Nutraceutical customers include innovators and contract manufacturers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develops new sales opportunities in products, customers, suppliers, and markets to drive sales and profit meeting company targets (across the DACH region)
- Develops close working relationships with customers.
- Influences customers and diffuse potential problems. Anticipate the customer’s needs and identifies appropriate alternatives
- Is comfortable moving between scientific discussions and financial conversations
- Prepares annual forecast for portfolio of products/clients and other forecasts as needed
- Manages Opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads, and write call reports covering details of visits to customers utilizing company systems such as Salesforce.com.
- Work closely with internal resources to ensure timely proposal generation, smooth transactions and customer satisfaction
- Pursues efficiencies within department, especially when it comes to sharing of information
- Assists AR in recovering slow payments and resolving disputes
- Promote organization in industry and trade associations
Required Experience & Knowledge
- Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related degree
- Fluent in English AND German – verbal and written
- Three to five years’ related experience, in a commercial / selling business to business environment with signs of track record of growing sales
- Good computer skills
- Experience with CRM software, especially Salesforce.com
- Some understanding of synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry.
- Good communication skills
