About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead our Hamburg office. This is a key leadership role responsible for commercial growth, operational performance, customer satisfaction, and overall branch profitability. The ideal candidate has strong freight forwarding expertise, proven team leadership, and a passion for building high-performing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all branch activities, including sales, operations, customer service, and finance.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives and effective account management.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across air freight, ocean freight, and logistics solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and global industry standards.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L accountability for the Hamburg branch.
- Develop, mentor, and support a team of freight forwarding professionals.
- Strengthen relationships with key customers, carriers, vendors, and partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand service offerings in the region.
- Promote a culture of service excellence, safety, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding roles.
- Strong knowledge of Ocean freight, transportation.
- Proven ability to manage P&L performance and drive profitable growth.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing cross‑functional teams.
- Strong commercial mindset with experience in customer development and sales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Fluent in German and English (written & spoken).
