Director of Business Development

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a Global 3rd Party Logistics provider on the search for a Business Development Director specialized in Air and Ocean Freight Forwarding.

About the Role

Location: USA (remote)

Responsibilities

  • Grow, develop, and execute sales strategy
  • Identify and target potential clients, nurturing leads, and converting them into long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively seek, and onboard new business with existing customers across the International Freight market.
  • Negotiate prices and conditions based on the type of service offering; propose complementary services.
  • Manage multiple demands and competing priorities to ensure account goals are achieved.
  • Manage Sales activities using CRM system.
  • Building customer rapport through regular visits/calls.
  • Leading negotiations and interactions with customers.

Required Skills

  • 5-10+ years Sales experience in the Air & Ocean Freight Forwarding market
  • Strong track record of revenue & account growth
  • Hungry salesperson
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced high intensity environment

Pay range and compensation package

The expected salary for this role would be USD $100K – $150K, depending on experience level, with a market leading commission plan & medical benefits alongside standard additions.
