Global Product Manager – Engineered Flow Control

Mackenzie Stuart is collaborating with an Engineered Flow Control Manufacturer who is searching for a highly skilled and passionate Product Line Manager to take a lead role in executing their Global Product Strategy, which is worth over $25 million, and target double-digit growth. The Product Line Manager will explore exciting areas across various markets, such as Power Generation, Mining, Water & Wastewater, Pulp & Paper, Chemical Processing, Petrochemical, Food & Beverage, and related industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have multifaceted skills in Product Line Management, Strategic Marketing, Technical Sales, Product Launch, Pricing Strategies, drive Product Innovation, and help penetrate new market growth.

Primary Job Objectives:

  • Develop and implement product line strategies and growth plans aligned with company objectives and report to management
  • Act as the main customer interface, present products, and conduct VOC for potential and existing products
  • Collaborate with Research & Development and Product Engineering to drive NPD and Product Maintenance
  • Develop and maintain new product roadmaps to promote new platforms & technologies for growth
  • Suggest product line rationalization/pruning based on technological offerings
  • Execute cost reduction projects to improve market pricing and profitability
  • Set inventory levels and provide input to Operations department based on market requirements
  • Provide direct Strategic Sales Support
  • Develop & maintain product literature/technical manuals
  • Monitor competition using SWOT Analysis techniques
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing departments to implement product communications & digital marketing platform
  • Support Product Engineering on use and application of products and new developments
  • Execute and develop product & application training programs
  • Coordinate order processing/quoting maintenance
  • Act as a key contributor to commercial contract negotiation
  • Assist customers, global field sales force, engineering and QA with product troubleshooting as a product expert
  • Support RMA process and coordinate with customers
  • Expected to travel domestically & internationally, estimated travel: 25-30%
  • Support field team at global trade shows

Candidate Competencies:

  • Multiple years of Product Management functional experience is required
  • Experience managing product lines across Engineered Fluid Technology product lines are a bonus i.e. Valve Engineering, Engineered Pumps, Turbomachinery, Rotating Equipment, Piping Systems, Flow/Pressure Instrumentation or related Fluid/Industrial Process Control Industries
  • An Engineering degree is a strong asset but not mandatory with relevant experience, skills, and technical mindset (e.g., Mechanical, Electronic, or related Engineering Degree)
  • The ideal candidate will ideally have knowledge of an array of multiple industry verticals i.e. Mining, Water & Wastewater, Pulp & Paper, Chemicals, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or Industrial related process industries.
  • Strong understanding of Product Ideation to Launch and the ability to manage product lifecycles
  • Ability to report to HQ location for meetings, global R&D and Manufacturing sites domestically and Internationally (open to international travel across APAC, Europe & South America specific regions)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with direct customers while performing field service/training to internal departments
  • English fluent capability with additional Spanish language is a bonus
  • Profound experience in the sales process (mechanisms) of fluid mechanistic technologies

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary, performance bonus, health & life insurance, dental and fringe benefits
  • Total Compensation: up to $135K-$145K base salary + 15% bonus dependent on experience
