Mackenzie Stuart is working with a leading medical device company specialising in developing innovating wound care solutions. My client are seeking a Head of Engineering to work remotely and be based in the US.
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the development of new wound care products from concept to launch, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficacy.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring that they are delivering high-quality work and meeting project timelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Clinical, and Marketing, to ensure that product development activities are aligned with company goals and timelines.
- Drive innovation in wound care technology, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and ensuring that the company is at the forefront of new product development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the wound care industry to ensure that the company is aware of emerging trends and is well-positioned to respond.
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical device product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in wound care product development is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team of engineers.
- Demonstrated ability to bring new medical devices from concept to market.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
