Head of Warehousing – 3PL
Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a market leading 3PL organization. We are currently recruiting for a Head of Warehousing based Cincinnati although there is flexibility here for the right candidate.
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and align sales and operational objectives with the overall business goals.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate all functions related to the client’s Warehousing operations.
- Work closely with your team to develop, negotiate, and build relationships with Warehousing Suppliers/Vendors to secure the most advantageous partnerships.
- Drive projects to completion by building effective relationships across the organization and improving existing processes.
- Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure their adherence to above-average standards.
- Interpret and apply regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members regarding operations, standardized procedures, and systems.
- Ensure efficient and effective rate preparation and issuance for the client’s Warehousing operations.
- Identify internal and external customer needs and develop innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
- Establish and nurture relationships with Warehousing carriers and vendors to strengthen the client’s network.
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Warehousing Operations and Procurement.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Logistics/3PL.
- Extensive knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques with a keen understanding of market dynamics.
- Strong negotiation, sales, and networking skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a drive to grow the client’s Warehousing business.
- Excellent strategic planning abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with a systematic problem-solving approach.
The expected salary for this role would be USD $200K – $280K, with other performance related benefits available including bonus and equity.
