Job Description:
A market leading Insulation manufacturer are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team in the building materials industry, with a specific focus on insulation products. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and improving our manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of high-quality insulation materials. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing product quality, increasing production yields, and reducing operational costs. Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing insulation manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and R&D, to implement process modifications and best practices.
- Utilize data analysis and statistical methods to identify trends and areas for process optimization.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Develop and implement robust quality control procedures to ensure that insulation products meet the required specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor process performance and product quality.
- Investigate and resolve any deviations or non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- New Product Development:
- Work closely with the R&D team to translate new insulation product designs into scalable manufacturing processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input during the development of new insulation materials.
- Equipment Maintenance and Upgrades:
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure the proper functioning and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Champion and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing processes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data related to production processes, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on process performance, yield, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in the building materials industry, with a focus on insulation products.
- Strong knowledge of insulation materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in process simulation and modeling tools is preferred.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to process improvement.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
