Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a major construction firm in the US, with a specific focus on infrastructure construction. The company is currently looking to begin a number of multi-million-dollar projects across the US.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager based or willing to relocate to the New York area – with a specialty in infrastructure development.
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Resource Management: Effectively allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that construction meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
- Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, control expenses, and provide accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Problem-Solving: Address project issues and challenges proactively, making decisions that benefit the project’s overall success.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project records.
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management with 5+ years of experience within infrastructure construction.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
