Purchasing Director – Building Materials

Job Description:

• Manage, coach, and create a high-performing team that meets corporate objectives and produces best-practice outcomes, continual improvements, and cost savings.
• Develop, discuss, and implement procurement strategies, processes, and procedures to increase corporate performance and market competitiveness.
• Ensure value for money, quality standards, and delivery terms by assessing, negotiating, and managing contract conditions with suppliers.
• Assess the business’s difficulties and take action to reduce risks and generate possibilities.
• Manage supplier connections, as well as choose and develop new suppliers, to guarantee optimal supplier partnerships and product delivery.
• Establish departmental goals and objectives/KPIs, and analyse and assess direct reports’ continuing performance.
• To guarantee optimal performance, develop and maintain good connections with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market developments, analyse the possible implications on supply, and offer the best solutions to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree recommended in business or engineering.
• 7+ years of expertise in procurement management, ideally in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated managerial abilities, including the ability to maximise team performance and development.
• English fluency C1.
• Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to engage, negotiate, and manage important stakeholders and suppliers at all levels.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability are required.
• Results-oriented, having the potential to generate value, cut expenses, and enhance business operations.
• Commercially and fiscally competent, having budget management skills.
