Regional Sales Manager – Building Materials (Insulation)

We are seeking an accomplished and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to oversee the Insulation product division in Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dedicated sales team, fostering revenue growth, and establishing robust customer relationships within the Sunshine State.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to meet and surpass regional sales targets. Regularly assess and monitor individual and team performance.
  2. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer demands within the insulation segment of the building materials industry in Florida. Develop strategies to leverage market opportunities and stay ahead of industry changes.
  3. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement regional sales strategies that align with the company’s objectives and goals. Define clear objectives and provide direction to the sales team.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, builders, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders in the insulation sector. Comprehend their needs and ensure the company is well-positioned to meet them.
  5. Product Knowledge: Stay well-informed about the company’s insulation products, their features, and benefits. Provide guidance and training to the sales team to ensure their product knowledge is comprehensive.
  6. Sales Process Enhancement: Continually refine the sales process, including prospecting, lead generation, presentations, and closing techniques. Apply best practices to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team.
  7. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze sales reports and metrics to evaluate regional performance. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy.
  8. Budget Management: Manage the regional sales budget, including expenses, resources, and promotional activities, to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, operations, and customer support, to ensure seamless communication and a unified approach to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  2. Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or in a similar capacity in the building materials industry, with a specific focus on insulation products.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  4. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  5. Thorough knowledge of insulation products, building codes, and construction practices in Florida.
  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Willingness to travel within the Florida region as required.
