Sales Director – Steam Turbine Services

About the job

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director – Steam Turbine Services to lead and grow our service business across North America. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing key customer relationships, and expanding our footprint across installed base service offerings, including maintenance, repair, and upgrade solutions for steam turbines.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial background within turbomachinery services and a deep understanding of customer needs across power generation, oil & gas, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commercial Leadership

  • Own and deliver the regional sales strategy for steam turbine service offering
  • sDrive order intake, revenue growth, and margin performance
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the installed base

2. Customer & Account Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, including
  • Power generation plants (utility, IPP, CHP)
  • Oil & gas operators
  • Heavy industrial customers
  • Act as a trusted advisor on lifecycle service solutions

3. Service Portfolio Growth

  • Promote a full suite of services, including
  • Planned maintenance and outages
  • Repairs and refurbishments
  • Retrofits and upgrades
  • Field service and technical support
  • Develop long-term service agreements and aftermarket contract

4. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales managers / account managers
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and field service teams to deliver customer solutions
  • Collaborate with global teams on key accounts and large projects

5. Market & Strategy Development

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements
  • Develop strategic plans to expand market share within the installed base
  • Support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations

Key Requirements:

Experiene

  • 10+ years of experience in steam turbines, rotating equipment, or turbomachinery services
  • Proven track record in aftermarket / service sales leadership
  • Strong exposure to industries such a
  • Power generation
  • Oil & gas
  • Industrial processing

Commercial Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to close large service contracts and long-term agreements
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and technical solutions
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Technical Understanding

  • Solid understanding of
  • Steam turbines and auxiliary systems
  • Maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO)
  • Lifecycle service offerings

Leadership & Personal Profits

  • Strategic, results-driven leader with a growth mind’s communicator with executive presence
  • Ability to influence both internally and externally Commercially astute with a customer-first approach
