Sales Manager – Building Materials (Flooring)

Job Description:

As a Sales Manager in the Building Materials and Flooring industry, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets. You will lead a team of sales professionals and work closely with our valued customers to deliver exceptional service and product solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed sales targets for building materials and flooring products.
  2. Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize their performance.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including contractors, builders, architects, and retailers.
  4. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product developments, and competitor offerings to effectively communicate the value of our products.
  5. Sales Forecasting: Analyze market trends and customer feedback to forecast sales, identify opportunities, and address challenges proactively.
  6. Budget Management: Manage the sales department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
  7. Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, including sales activity, pipeline, and revenue projections, to keep senior management informed.
  8. Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, and geographic areas for growth.
  9. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale support.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the building materials and flooring industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of building materials and flooring products.
  • Ability to analyse market data and trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office suite.
