Sales Manager – Metal Packaging

Mackenzie Stuart is partnered with a large metal packaging manufacturer, in search of a skilled sales manager to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic member of the commercial team, meeting business demands and driving forward processes.
  • Manage budgeting, strategic planning, and competitive reporting for assigned accounts.
  • Follow up on leads and referrals, and identify sales prospects through methods like cold calling and trade shows.
  • Create commercial proposals and deliver product offerings and contracts to current and potential customers.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of product offering.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and fulfil their needs.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, and feedback gathered through field activity.
  • Assist with various administrative activities within the commercial team.
  • Perform other assigned sales duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year University, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 5 years of customer-facing sales experience.
  • Industry experience desired, with a preference for manufacturing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, relationship development, profitability metrics, and pricing strategies.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others through influence and respect, and to work well within a team.
  • Effective time management, proactive initiative-taking, and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with both internal and external partners.
