Sales Manager – Road & Short Haul Transportation – Germany

Mackenzie Stuart is working in close partnership with a rapidly expanding third-party logistics company who are actively seeking a Sales Manager, specialising in Road Transportation.

Our client is 40 year+ industry leading Logistics and Supply Chain company with a presence nationally. They have in recent years experienced significant growth and success & are looking to push this growth even further.

Role:

  • Individual Contributor tasked with on-boarding, developing & retaining business customers, while executing all parts of the sales procedure.
  • Identifying opportunities and securing business to develop the Road Transportation market
  • Maximise growth in sales through ‘hunting’ activities using developed techniques and strategies to achieve specific growth targets
  • Negotiating rates with customers and carriers depending on the market
  • Collect relevant customer information for the RFI/RFP/RFQ and prepare documents efficiently
  • Manage multiple demands and competing priorities to ensure account goals are achieved
  • Building customer rapport by being informed on customer’s business
  • Leading negotiations and interactions with customers
  • Operate in a fast-paced high intensity environment

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2+ years Domestic Road & Ocean Transportation Sales (OTR, LTL, FTL, Short Haul)
  • Experience as an individual contributor
  • Proven track record of success
  • First-rate communication and presentation skills
  • Hunter mentality
  • Cradle-to-grave sales experience
  • Comfortable working remotely
  • Understanding of CRM system

The expected salary for this role would be €90K, with a great perforamnce based bonus structure alongside.
