Position Purpose:
The main objective of this role is to expand market presence and boost sales within the skylight category by engaging with trade partners and driving sales through key dealers. This entails devising and implementing sales strategies within a designated territory, with a focus on collaborating with Dealers, Builders, Contractors, Remodelers, Roofers, and Architects. The role requires actively seeking out new sales opportunities and nurturing existing relationships to achieve sales targets.
Primary Responsibilities:
Formulating and executing a comprehensive annual plan for the territory to identify and capitalize on potential avenues for sales growth.
Conducting targeted outreach to cultivate new business prospects.
Delivering sales presentations to dealers, builders, contractors, and architects to ensure effective promotion of product lines in line with sales objectives.
Providing training to dealers, builders, contractors, and architects on the proper usage and installation of product lines.
Adhering to allocated budgets to manage expenses and enhance profitability within the territory.
Assisting and guiding contractors with in-home sales efforts.
Generating and submitting requisite reports and analyses within specified timelines.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Undertaking field service tasks as required within the assigned territory.
Traveling to support fellow sales representatives in conducting training sessions, executing field service tasks, or participating in local trade shows.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or relevant trade school certification is preferred
- Prior knowledge of the building industry is advantageous
- Sales experience is desirable but not mandatory
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Capacity to keep abreast of industry trends and leverage insights for sales opportunities
- Demonstrating a strong customer-centric approach
