Senior Business Development Manager – Industrial Water Treatment

Mackenzie Stuart is collaborating with an expanding Water Chemical manufacturer to identify a Senior Business Development Manager for their Industrial Water Treatment Business Unit.

We are looking for candidates from Texas, PNW, Carolinas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Nebraska.

Candidates MUST HAVE experience selling to/managing commercial relationships.

Overview of the role:

  • Elevate market presence and boost the sales performance of chemicals and related water treatment services within targeted geographic and industry-centric sectors
  • Oversee the marketing of wastewater treatment solutions to industrial clientele
  • Demonstrate knowledge of boilers, cooling towers and wastewater treatment systems
  • Formulate and execute the organization’s sales strategy tailored for industrial markets, ensuring seamless alignment with our broader business goals and objectives
  • Technical discussions with clients to advise on which products to use
  • Budgeting of sales forecast and revenue targets
  • Regular updates to the CEO for discussion of sales targets

Job Description:

  • Researching new business opportunities, including markets, trends, and partnerships
  • Establishing contacts within organisations to facilitate business development
  • Generating leads and conducting cold calls to engage prospective customers
  • Meeting customers/clients to understand needs and respond with strategic plans
  • Fostering strong relationships with customers/clients for long-term partnerships
  • Thinking strategically and setting aims to drive business development
  • Planning strategically to implement operational changes aligned with goals
  • Drawing up client contracts in line with business objectives and standards
  • Understanding and advising on the company’s products or services
  • Collaborating with the marketing department on promotional activities
  • Liaising with finance, warehousing, and logistics departments as necessary
  • Seeking ways to enhance operational efficiency
  • Participating in seminars, conferences, and events to stay informed about industry trends

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of practical experience in technical water treatment sales, key account management and business development
  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
  • Proven track record of successfully managing territories generating over $XM in revenue
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated hunter mindset with an unwavering drive to capitalize on opportunities

Compensation:

  • Base Salary
  • Company Car/ Car Allowance
  • Commission
  • Portion of the Net Profit
