Mackenzie Stuart has partnered with a leading Pre-Clinical CRO in their search for a Director of Laboratory Operations. This is a hybrid role based in Boston, Massachusetts.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the day-to-day functions within the laboratory
- Management of the In Vivo & In Vitro Department – 8 Direct Reports
- Line management responsibilities with Department Managers; performance reviewals & appraisals, disciplinaries, training & development
- Identifying staffing needs within the department and planning recruitment efforts accordingly
- Continuous engagement with senior management through scheduled meetings, presentations and process updates on all operations – direct reporting to the VP of Operations
- Cross-functional collaboration with Business Development, Quality Assurance & Project Management Departments to assess laboratory requirements & operational strategy
Requirements:
- NECESSARY: Previous Pre-Clinical CRO experience
- 3+ Years experience in Laboratory Leadership roles
- 6+ Years experience working in the Laboratory
- Both In Vitro & In Vivo study experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills
- Clear communication ability with senior leadership
